The following models will receive these enhancements thanks to the Q2 update:

  • Fenix 8
  • Fenix 8 Pro
  • Enduro 3
  • Tactix 8
  • Quatix 8
  • Quatix 8 Pro
  • D2 Mach

In addition to golf tag support, this update also introduces a stocks tracker feature and a recovery capability. Certain Garmin models, such as the Venu 4, Vivoactive 6, and D2 Air X15, will also benefit from premium golf features available through the Garmin Golf Membership.

Mobility and Recovery Features

For users of the Garmin Instinct 3, Instinct Crossover AMOLED, or Instinct E, the update brings in a stocks tracker and mobility activity features. Compatibility: Who Gets Left Out?

While the feature enhancements are promising, some Garmin watch owners may feel left out. Relatively recent models such as the Fenix 7, Venu 3, and Vivoactive 5 will not receive the new features, despite their functionality and performance capabilities. Although these devices will still receive software fixes, users may feel that they are missing out on the latest innovations.

For cycling enthusiasts, the Q2 update extends to Edge cycling computers. Owners can now connect compatible eBikes equipped with Bosch smart systems, allowing for the display of important metrics such as battery level and power data directly on their devices. On-device Gear Tracking will also enhance the experience for Edge bike computer users.
