Xreal Launches New AR Glasses Under “X By Xreal” Subbrand
Augmented reality wearables provider Xreal has officially introduced its new subbrand, “X By Xreal” (XBX), featuring its first customizable lightweight smart glasses, the a01 model. These glasses are set to launch in the United States in July, with a starting price of $299.
Innovative Features of the a01 AR Glasses
The Xreal a01 aims to redefine the AR experience with its notable features. One of the standout elements is its “highly stable anti-shake mode.” While the a01 does not offer the traditional degrees-of-freedom (DoF) support that allows for tracking user movements and head rotations—common features in more premium AR models—it compensates with what Xreal describes as the “industry-first spatial anti-shake algorithm.” This technology is designed to maintain image clarity, especially during turbulent conditions, such as when navigating a bumpy subway or traveling on a flight, effectively reducing blur and washed-out visuals.
