Performance Specifications
According to the Geekbench listing, the Xiaomi 17T is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 chipset, which aligns with earlier leaks about the device’s hardware. It will run on the latest Android 16 operating system and is configured with a robust 12GB of RAM. The performance results from the Geekbench AI tests are noteworthy, with the device scoring 1,017 points in the single precision test, 1,329 points in the half precision test, and receiving a quantized score of 1,124 points, which suggest substantial processing power.
Battery and Charging Features
In terms of battery life, the Xiaomi 17T is rumored to be fitted with a sizable 6,500mAh battery, accompanied by support for 67W wired charging. This feature is expected to enhance user convenience significantly, as it may reduce downtime for charging. However, it appears that the device may not introduce significant upgrades to its camera hardware and will likely maintain the setup from its predecessor, the Xiaomi 15T.
Possible Release Timeline
Xiaomi is projected to unveil both the 17T and its counterpart, the 17T Pro, in May—a departure from their typical launch timeframe. For context, last year’s Xiaomi 15T series was introduced in September, indicating that this upcoming release could potentially bring fresh innovations to the smartphone market.
