As Xbox approaches its monumental 25th anniversary, gamers around the world are gearing up to celebrate over two decades of iconic gaming experiences. From oversized controllers to late-night Halo sessions, Microsoft is marking this significant milestone with exciting offerings for its community. Ahead of the original Xbox’s official anniversary on November 15, the company has generously released a collection of free gamerpics, profile backgrounds, themes, and a dynamic console background, all crafted by talented community artists Klobrille and Ben Kenobi.
This art collection is now available, allowing players to personalize their gaming experience in honor of Xbox’s legacy. In addition, upon signing into an Xbox account through a console, PC, or the Xbox mobile app before the end of 2026, players will also receive a commemorative 25th anniversary profile badge, a nice touch from Microsoft to celebrate this achievement.

For console owners looking to add a festive touch, the new gamerpics and themes can be found under Settings > Profile > Customize profile. The dynamic background is located under Settings > General > Personalization > My background > Dynamic background. PC users can easily change their gamerpic by accessing their profile in the Xbox app and tapping the pencil icon. The matching profile theme is also available within the Customize Profile menu.
In a collaborative spirit, Microsoft invites players to share their own anniversary artwork on X using the hashtag #XBOX25, with select designs having the opportunity to be included in the official collection.
Game Pass is Digging Through the Xbox Attic
Microsoft
In honor of its 25 years, Microsoft is also rolling out special anniversary collections within Xbox Game Pass, featuring games spanning every Xbox generation. The curated selection includes beloved titles such as Fable Anniversary, Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Fallout 4, Psychonauts 2, and Grounded. It’s important to note that these are highlighted sections of existing Game Pass offerings, not newly gifted copies for permanent retention.
Furthermore, the anniversary festivities will feature an international FanFest tour that stops at cities like Cologne, Tokyo, London, Mexico City, Sydney, Toronto, and Seattle. Gamers can look forward to tickets being distributed via city-specific sweepstakes.
For those feeling nostalgic, Microsoft will also launch a translucent green Xbox Series X25 alongside a matching controller in November. However, these items will be available for purchase, making the free profile enhancements and dynamic background a more convenient way to partake in Xbox’s birthday celebration.
To celebrate Xbox’s incredible journey over the last quarter-century, head over to your console or mobile app and take advantage of these festive features. For further details, check out the source Here.
