The Pixel 11 Pro features a 6.3-inch display, whereas the Pro XL has a larger, brighter 6.8-inch screen. Camera-wise, the 11 Pro and 11 Pro XL include a sophisticated system with a 50MP wide-angle lens, a 48MP ultrawide lens, and a 48MP 5x zoom. Interestingly, both models also sport a 42MP front-facing camera.

Meanwhile, the standard Pixel 11 introduces a larger sensor for its main camera, moving from 1/2.0-inch to 1/1.56-inch. In a unique twist, the Pixel 11 Pro Fold also features a larger main camera sensor but opts for a slightly smaller battery (4,806mAh) compared to the standard Pro (5,015mAh).

Pricing for the Pixel 11 Pro starts at €1,199 and €1,399 for the Pro XL in Europe, with pre-orders now live and general sales starting August 20. US pricing has the Pixel 11 Fold set at $1,899, while the standard Pixel 11 is priced at $899, also launching on August 20.

The new models are powered by the Tensor G6 chipset and feature the HiLight notification LED.

Bad news – it’s more than the 2025 models. The Pixel Watch 5 is more expensive than its predecessor too.

Honor’s Robot Phone: A Step into the Future

In another significant development, Honor has officially launched its Robot Phone in China. This innovative device features a motorized 4-DoF titanium gimbal that supports a remarkable 200MP main camera. The gimbal offers automatic stabilization and AI-enabled subject tracking. Alongside the main camera, the Robot Phone also boasts a 200MP 2.7x periscope telephoto and a 50MP ultrawide camera setup.

Boasting a 6.31-inch 1-120Hz LTPO OLED display, the device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and features a substantial 7,060mAh battery. Pricing starts from CNY 9,999 for the 12GB/512GB variant, with sales commencing on August 18. However, Honor has yet to confirm any international availability.

Xiaomi Expands Its Offerings with New Redmi Models

Xiaomi has also made waves by announcing the Redmi 17 5G and Redmi 17 4G. Unveiled earlier than usual, both models promise large displays and battery life at an affordable price point. The Redmi 17 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chip, while the 4G version utilizes the Helio G200 Ultra. Both devices feature a 6.9-inch LCD with a 144Hz refresh rate, alongside a 50MP main camera and IP64 protection.

While the 5G model packs a 7,000mAh battery and supports 33W charging, the 4G edition has an even larger battery with the same charging speed. Prices begin at €249 for the 5G version and €199 for the 4G model, with availability expected to roll out across Europe soon.

Sony Xperia 1 VIII: Strong Sales Amidst Mixed Reviews

Despite a higher price point, Sony’s Xperia 1 VIII appears to be performing well in the market, particularly with demand for higher-storage variants in the new gold finish. Sony attributes the device’s appeal to its exceptional camera capabilities, earning praise for the inclusion of both a microSD card slot and a 3.5mm headphone jack, which they claim are integral to the Xperia brand identity.

There’s bad news if you were hoping to see a new Xperia 5, however.

Xiaomi’s HyperOS 4: A New Era for MIUI

Xiaomi has also unveiled HyperOS 4, built on Android 17. Expected to rollout soon, this redesigned UI comes heavy on translucent glass-like elements and offers a wealth of customization options. Users will be able to adjust the lock screen layout, resize folders, and group widgets to their liking. Enhanced AI capabilities will allow preloading of next-expected resources into RAM, improving the overall user experience.

The rollout of HyperOS 4 will initially occur on Xiaomi’s latest devices, indicating a release momentum expected in the upcoming weeks.

The K100 Pro features a 6.59-inch display and an 8,580mAh battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. The K100 Pro Max steps up to a 6.9-inch screen and an impressive 9,070mAh battery, supporting the same charging speeds. Both models feature a primary 200MP OIS camera, but the Max version offers superior secondary cameras.

Starting prices are set at CNY 3,699 for the K100 Pro and CNY 4,499 for the K100 Pro Max (12GB/256GB). Currently, they are exclusive to China, but reports suggest potential international releases as the Poco F9 Pro and F9 Ultra down the line.
