The introduction of a 2x optical quality Telephoto lens based on cropping adds versatility, although some may view this as a limitation. Up front, the iPhone 17 features an upgraded 18MP selfie camera with Center Stage support, perfect for video calls and social media content. The Camera Control feature returns alongside the much-anticipated Action Button, offering extra functionality for users exploring photography options.
Performance and Battery Life
Powered by Apple’s new A19 chip, manufactured with a refined 3nm process, the iPhone 17 tackles tasks with ease, offering a 6-core CPU and an improved 5-core GPU. Notably, this model lacks the Apple-designed 5G modem and the N1 chip for Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6, which may disappoint some users. However, it promises all-day battery life, reportedly providing eight additional hours of video playback compared to the iPhone 16. With new fast-charging capabilities, users can achieve a 50% charge in just 20 minutes.

On the design front, the iPhone 17 is available in new color options including lavender, mist blue, and sage, alongside the traditional black and white. Storage begins at a generous 256GB, an upgrade from the previous 128GB baseline, but does cap at 512GB.
