A recent report has sparked excitement among tech enthusiasts, revealing that Apple plans to unveil its highly anticipated smart glasses in June 2027. The announcement is expected during the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), with a commercial launch anticipated later in the same year. This timeline will provide developers ample opportunity to craft applications tailored for the new device.

The smart glasses, referred to internally as N50, were initially expected to launch this year. However, Apple has reportedly delayed the release amid rising privacy concerns associated with smart glasses technology. This pause allows the company valuable time to address privacy issues and enhance the overall design and functionality of the product.
Upcoming Smartwatch Releases in 2026
In addition to the smart glasses, tech aficionado Mark Gurman has noted in his latest Power On newsletter that Apple is also preparing to introduce its latest smartwatch models later this year. Among these are the Watch Series 12 and Watch Ultra 4, which are currently in the late stages of testing. Specifically, the Watch Series 12 will include both Wi-Fi-only and LTE variants, codenamed N237 and N238, respectively. The Watch Ultra 4, carrying the codename N240, is also in development.
While significant design changes are not anticipated with these new models, they are expected to feature a new chipset and improvements in health and fitness tracking capabilities. Interestingly, there’s speculation that a new Watch SE model is unlikely to be released in 2026, as Apple launched the Watch SE 3 just last year.
