Vivo X300 FE: Compact Powerhouse for Photography Enthusiasts
Vivo has unveiled its latest pocket-friendly flagship, the Vivo X300 FE, designed for smartphone shoppers who prioritize photography without compromising on size. With a sleek 6.3-inch display and a thickness of just 7.99mm, this model positions itself as a serious contender against giants like the iPhone 17 Pro and Google Pixel 10 Pro. Notably, the X300 FE’s impressive camera capabilities may even surpass these models, especially with the optional telephoto lens extender.
Announced alongside the global version of the Vivo X300 Ultra, which boasts an impressive rear camera trio, the X300 FE still manages to incorporate a robust camera setup within its slim chassis. It features a main 50MP camera, a 50MP telephoto lens, and an 8MP ultrawide backup. Both the main and zoom lenses come equipped with optical image stabilization, ensuring your shots remain steady, while a 50MP selfie camera with autofocus captures stunning portraits.
Vivo has collaborated with imaging expert Zeiss to enhance the phone’s image processing capabilities. This partnership aims to deliver some of the most realistic and natural color science available in the smartphone market today. Additionally, the X300 FE offers various shooting modes that replicate specific Zeiss camera lenses, accommodating the video enthusiast with support for 4K/60fps, 4K/120fps, and even 8K/30fps video recording.
Familiar Looks, Plenty of Power
While the X300 FE isn’t as slender as the Galaxy S25 Edge or iPhone Air, it comes remarkably close. Its design features a top-mounted bar for the rear cameras, a thoughtful layout that minimizes the risk of smudging the Zeiss glass with fingerprints. Users can choose from colors like Purple, White, Black, or Green, each flaunting a matte-finished glass back and a durable aluminum mid-frame.
The 6.31-inch AMOLED display boasts a resolution of 1.5K with an adaptable refresh rate ranging from 1-120Hz and peaks at a brightness of 5000 nits, supporting HDR10+ content for vibrant visuals. Beneath the surface, the device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, one step below Qualcomm’s elite silicon, cooled by an efficient vapor chamber. With 12GB of RAM and storage options of either 256GB or 512GB, the X300 FE combines power with practicality.
Incorporating silicon-carbon battery technology, the X300 FE houses a substantial 6500mAh battery, designed to comfortably last a day and a half under typical usage. Charging is swift, supporting 90W over USB-C and 40W wirelessly.
The device runs on OriginOS 6, with Vivo promising five years of OS upgrades and seven years of security patches, ensuring longevity and reliability. Additional features include an ultrasonic under-display fingerprint sensor and robust IP68/IP69 resistance ratings for enhanced durability.
The Vivo X300 FE is now available for purchase in China, India, and select European territories. However, its availability in the UK remains uncertain, and the US market is unlikely to see this model. Official pricing details are still pending.
