Samsung is set to revolutionize the smartphone market with the anticipated launch of its first tri-fold smartphone, rumored to be named the Galaxy Z TriFold. While the official launch date is still under wraps, exciting details are emerging from a recently published patent document by KIPRIS.
Innovative Battery Design
The innovative design of the Galaxy Z TriFold showcases a unique battery configuration featuring three segments, each housing a dedicated battery cell. According to the patent sketches, the smallest battery (T1) is cleverly positioned within the segment that accommodates the triple rear camera system. The segment featuring the cover display houses the second-largest battery (T3), while the largest battery (T2) is strategically located in the middle segment, which will be folded between the other two when the device is closed.
Although the patent document stops short of detailing the specific capacities or overall battery performance, there is widespread anticipation that the battery will offer significant improvements over its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Fold7, which had a somewhat limited 4,400 mAh battery and a modest 25W wired charging capability.
