Microsoft Launches New Surface Pro 12” and Surface Laptop 13” with Snapdragon X2 Plus

For connectivity, it supports both Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. Weighing in at 686g (1.5lbs) and measuring 7.8mm (0.3”) thick, this tablet is designed for users on the go.

Microsoft also unveiled the Surface Laptop 13” (2nd edition), which features a sleek aluminum body with a color-matched keyboard and next-gen haptic feedback trackpad. This model includes a slightly larger 13” PixelSense LCD display, offering a resolution of 1,920 x 1,280 pixels, with a refresh rate of 60Hz and touch support. The display boasts a maximum brightness of 500 nits and is protected by strengthened glass.
Similar to the Surface Pro, the laptop is also passively cooled, meaning it operates quietly and efficiently without a fan. Multiple configurations are available, ranging from 16GB RAM and 256GB storage for $1,200 to a more powerful option with 24GB RAM and 512GB storage priced at $1,500.

This laptop weighs 1,225g (2.96lbs) and measures 17.5mm (0.69”) when closed. Its battery life is impressive, with up to 22.5 hours of video playback available. For further connectivity, it includes two USB-C (USB 3.2) ports, one USB-A (also USB 3.2), and a 3.5mm headphone jack, while charging is managed with a 45W USB-C adapter provided in the box.
Microsoft also rolled out a new Surface Mouse, priced at $80. This mouse, available in Black and Platinum, will hit select markets on October 13. Designed for ambidextrous use, the Surface Mouse features haptic feedback to register on-screen events, like snapping a window into place, and allows for multi-device pairing using Bluetooth 6.0.
