Sony Announces PlayStation Plus Monthly Games for September
Sony has officially revealed its PlayStation Plus Monthly Games lineup for September, showcasing a mix of exciting titles. Leading the pack is Sniper Elite: Resistance, a World War 2 stealth shooter that promises to deliver intense gameplay. Alongside this are MLB The Show 26, Wobbly Life, and the captivating indie JRPG Chained Echoes.
These four games will be available to PlayStation Plus members from September 1 until October 5. In our review of Sniper Elite: Resistance, we rated it 7 out of 10, noting that while it doesn’t significantly innovate from its predecessor, Sniper Elite 5, the game’s combination of stealth mechanics and spectacularly brutal killcams remains engaging.
What to Expect from Sniper Elite: Resistance
Sniper Elite: Resistance runs parallel to the narrative of Sniper Elite 5, introducing players to Harry Hawker, who joins forces with the French Resistance in occupied France. Their mission: to thwart another nefarious Nazi plot involving a superweapon.
Rebellion
While the storyline may not stand out, it’s the game’s level design that captivates. The eight main missions transport players through vast environments, allowing various approaches to accomplishing objectives. Whether you choose to eliminate targets from a distance or sneak around through buildings, the game provides ample opportunities for exploration.
In addition to solo play, the entire campaign can be experienced in co-op mode. For those seeking competition, the Axis Invasion feature allows another sniper to join your mission, while the competitive multiplayer option accommodates up to 16 players. A four-player Survival mode adds variety for those looking for a different gameplay experience.
Exciting Additions: Chained Echoes and More
Following Sniper Elite: Resistance is MLB The Show 26, a robust addition that incorporates popular modes like Road to the Show and Diamond Dynasty for PS5 users. PlayStation Plus members will also receive a Jump Start Bundle, which includes extra packs to enhance their gaming experience.

Chained Echoes stands out as a sleeper hit among the offerings this month. This JRPG features classic 16-bit styling, turn-based combat, and mech gameplay, all wrapped in charming pixel art. Although some players have found the story divisive, the combat mechanics and side missions have garnered significant praise from the gaming community.
Finally, rounding out the lineup is Wobbly Life, a quirky open-world sandbox that can be enjoyed by up to four players, whether online or locally. As a reminder, PlayStation Plus members have until August 31 to claim last month’s offerings, including Dying Light 2 Stay Human: Reloaded Edition, Big Walk, and Signalis.
