Honor has officially unveiled the Honor X7e Plus 5G, expanding its impressive X7e lineup after the introduction of the 4G-only Honor X7e in June of this year. The new model introduces significant upgrades, including robust 5G support, a larger battery capacity, a powerful Snapdragon processor, a smoother 120Hz display, and a higher-resolution 50MP rear camera.
Currently, the smartphone is available in Qatar and Oman, although Honor has yet to confirm its release in other markets.
Bigger Display and Better Durability
The Honor X7e Plus 5G boasts a sizable 6.87-inch TFT LCD display with an HD+ resolution of 1592 × 720 pixels. One of the standout features of this display is its 120Hz refresh rate, which offers a remarkable improvement in scrolling and animations. Furthermore, it can reach up to 1,020 nits of peak brightness—ideal for outdoor visibility. To enhance user experience, Honor has incorporated Dynamic Dimming and Eye Comfort modes to alleviate eye strain during extended usage.
An innovative AI button is a fresh addition; users can press and hold it to access a variety of features including AI Memory, Circle to Search, AI Eraser, AI Summary, and Smart Recommendations. The physical dimensions of the phone are 168.3 x 78.54 x 8.3mm, and it weighs in at 216.5 grams. Consumers have the option to choose from three attractive color variants: Desert Gold, Velvet Black, and Meteor Silver.
Honor has also prioritized durability in the design of the X7e Plus 5G. The device carries an IP68 rating, indicating excellent protection against dust and water. In addition, it boasts IP69 and IP69K ratings, which further ensure its resilience. According to Honor’s official listing for Oman, the phone has obtained SGS Premium Drop Resistance certification and can withstand drops from heights of up to 2.5 meters. Under the hood, the Honor X7e Plus 5G is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chipset and offers options for up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
Another noteworthy feature is the RAM Turbo technology, which allows the device to use a portion of its internal storage as virtual RAM, thereby enhancing multitasking capabilities. On the software front, it runs Android 16 along with the MagicOS 10 layer, delivering a smooth and intuitive user interface.
In terms of connectivity, the smartphone supports dual SIM, NFC, and Bluetooth 5.1, which includes LDAC and aptX HD support for a superior audio experience. The USB Type-C connector and stereo speakers add to its modern features, while a side-mounted fingerprint scanner secures user data effectively.
For photography enthusiasts, the rear camera features a 50MP main sensor along with an auxiliary sensor that enhances versatility. Meanwhile, the front-facing 5MP selfie camera is suited for quality photos and video calls. The X7e Plus comes equipped with an impressive 8,100mAh battery, which has a rated capacity of 7,900mAh and supports 45W Honor SuperCharge for rapid battery replenishment.
Honor claims that the device can function efficiently in a wide range of temperatures, from -30°C to 50°C. Research shows that the battery can retain over 80 percent of its capacity even after several years of regular usage, based on Honor’s internal testing procedures.
The Honor X7e Plus 5G is priced starting at approximately $275 for the 6GB + 128GB model, while the 8GB + 256GB version is available for around $300. Although the phone has also made its debut in Oman, the company has not yet disclosed which other markets might receive this exciting new device in the near future.
