OnePlus Pad 3 Pro Launch: A New Era of Tablet Design and Performance
The OnePlus Pad 3 Pro has officially made its debut in China, bringing significant enhancements in design and performance compared to its predecessors. As part of a broader strategy, OnePlus is restructuring its tablet lineup to offer distinct Pad 3 versions tailored for both the Chinese and global markets.
A Look at the OnePlus Pad Series
The OnePlus Pad 3 was released in China at the end of 2024, while the global version of the OnePlus Pad 3 was launched mid-2025. Now, the spotlight shifts to the newer OnePlus Pad 4, which serves as the foundation for the recently announced Pro model.
Impressive Display and Design Features
The OnePlus Pad 3 Pro boasts a 13.2-inch LCD display with a sharp resolution of 3392 x 2400 pixels. With a 7:5 aspect ratio, this tablet is designed to enhance productivity, making it ideal for both work and entertainment. The display supports a 144Hz refresh rate and a 540Hz touch sampling rate, ensuring smooth interaction. Additionally, it can achieve peak brightness levels of up to 1,000 nits and supports Dolby Vision and HDR Vivid, offering improved video quality and color accuracy.
Enhanced Input Experience
Recognizing the need for diverse input options, OnePlus has introduced stylus support for writing and note-taking, allowing users to convert handwritten notes into tables and mind maps using integrated AI tools. For those who prefer a more traditional input method, an optional keyboard case is available. Furthermore, the tablet includes eight built-in speakers, enhancing the audio experience during media playback.
Long-lasting Battery Life
Equipped with a robust 13,380mAh battery, the OnePlus Pad 3 Pro supports 67W SuperVOOC fast charging. According to OnePlus, users can expect up to 25 episodes of video playback on a single charge. In comparison, the previous China version of the OnePlus Pad 3 came with a 9,520mAh battery, while the global version had a 12,140mAh battery. The OnePlus Pad 4 shares the same battery capacity but supports a faster 80W charging option.
Powerful Performance Under the Hood
At its core, the OnePlus Pad 3 Pro runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. OnePlus claims that this new chipset delivers a 52% higher AnTuTu score compared to both the OnePlus Pad 2 Pro and the global OnePlus Pad 3, which employed the standard Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. With a noted 20% increase in CPU performance and a 23% boost in GPU capabilities, users can expect a significant leap in performance, particularly compared to the Dimensity 8350 processor used in the earlier China version of the Pad 3.
Availability and Pricing
The tablet comes in two color options: Dark Brown and Light Green. In China, it ships with a charger and a USB A-to-C cable included in the box, although global availability has yet to be confirmed. However, given that the Pad 2 Pro did see an international launch, there’s hope for wider availability of the Pad 3 Pro.
The OnePlus Pad 3 Pro is offered in three storage configurations: 12GB RAM with 256GB storage, 12GB RAM with 512GB storage, and the top-tier 16GB RAM variant with 512GB storage. Price points start at CNY 4,400 for the base model (approximately $650, £495, €570, or ₹61,500). The tablet is currently available on the Oppo online store in China, enticing tech enthusiasts with its impressive specifications.
