He stated, “AI will further accelerate the trend towards prolonged headphone usage… For the AI assistant, people need audio input, and there are no better devices than headphones. I don’t think people will be able to stay away from AI.”

Shokz is also delving into hearing aid solutions, exploring how their bone conduction technology could assist those with hearing impairments. Chen noted, “We’ve been exploring hearing-related devices for quite some time, although we want to be careful with the term ‘hearing aids,’ since that is a medical term and carries regulatory implications.” The company is working diligently to create over-the-counter solutions that could offer considerable assistance to users.
An illustrative case involves a teenager with unilateral hearing loss who successfully used a Shokz device to improve her audio experience through bone conduction technology. Such innovations align with Shokz’s mission to improve auditory experiences while maintaining spatial awareness, proving especially valuable for users with unilateral hearing challenges.
