Apple Steals the Spotlight at Mobile World Congress 2026

Introducing the iPhone 17e

Apple kicked off its announcements with the iPhone 17e, a subtle yet significant update over its predecessor, the 16e. This new device features a binned A19 SoC and starts at a generous 256GB storage option, notably omitting the 128GB variant. The introduction of the C1X modem allows for improved connectivity, which is increasingly essential in today’s mobile landscape. Remarkably, the iPhone 17e continues to cost $599, making it an appealing choice for consumers looking for increased storage without an uptick in price. Deliveries are set to begin on March 11.

New iPad Air with Enhanced Performance

Next up was the introduction of a revamped iPad Air powered by the M4 chipset. This new chip boasts a performance increase of 30% over the M3 used in previous iPad Air models and an impressive 230% speed boost compared to the M1-powered versions. Coupled with the powerful N1 and C1X wireless chips, the iPad Air solidifies its place as a leader in the tablet market.

MacBook Neo: A Game-Changer for Apple

Perhaps the most striking announcement was that of the MacBook Neo, Apple’s first budget-friendly MacBook. This innovative model runs on the A18 Pro chip and features a 13-inch IPS LCD with a resolution of 2,408 x 1,506 pixels, setting a new standard for clarity and color accuracy among MacBooks. The MacBook Neo comes equipped with a Magic Keyboard (with optional Touch ID) and offers storage options of 256GB or 512GB. The device starts at an accessible price point of $599/€699/£599/₹69,900 and will also ship on March 11.

The Phone (4a) will be available for purchase on March 13, while the Pro version will follow on the 27th.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra Review Findings

During this week, Samsung’s Galaxy S26 Ultra gained attention for its decision to move away from a periscope lens design for its 5x telephoto camera. Instead, it employs a conventional lens setup, resulting in a closer focusing distance of 52cm. This change leads to improvements in bokeh quality and overall photography experience, which enthusiasts are likely to appreciate.
