Exciting Discounts on Foldable Phones and Bar Phones This Week
This week has brought a wave of massive discounts on foldable phones, with savings reaching up to $500. If foldables aren’t your style, don’t worry—there are plenty of bar phone options available as well.
Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold: An Affordable Alternative
The Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold is currently on sale for $300 off, positioning it as a more affordable option compared to the Samsung foldables with similar storage configurations. While the Pixel may lag slightly in performance with its Tensor G5 chip versus the Snapdragon 8 Elite, it compensates with more RAM, offering 16GB in the 1TB model of the Galaxy Z Fold7.
However, the camera system on the Pixel has some limitations. The main 48MP camera uses a relatively small 1/2.0” sensor, which pales in comparison to the Galaxy’s impressive 200MP 1/1.3” sensor. The periscope and ultra-wide cameras feature comparable specifications: both devices house a 10MP 5x periscope and a 10.5MP ultra-wide lens.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7: Premium Features at a Discount
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 enjoys a substantial $400 discount. Despite its higher base price, the 12/256GB model is nearly equivalent in cost to the Pixel 10 Pro Fold’s 16/512GB variant. The Z Fold7’s mature DeX multitasking capabilities and the option to use an S Pen may make it the preferred choice for some users looking for premium features.
Exploring Compact Flip Models
Samsung is advancing its flip phone lineup with the Galaxy Z Flip7, which boasts the Exynos 2500 and a 4,300mAh battery, offering an Active Use Score of 11:52 hours. Its camera features include a 50MP main lens paired with a 12MP ultra-wide; however, it lacks a telephoto lens. Notably, this model also allows DeX functionality on external displays, broadening its utility.
Meanwhile, the Motorola Razr Ultra 2025 comes in at a lower price point than the Samsung, offering a 16/512GB model for $100 less than the Z Flip7. This model is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Elite and features a larger 4,700mAh battery, providing an impressive 15:10 hours of usage and faster charging capabilities.
Bar Phone Options Worth Considering
If you prefer non-folding options, the Google Pixel 10 sells for $650, and it’s advisable to spend an extra $50 for additional storage. It features the same Tensor G5 processor and a 6.3” display as its Pro counterpart, albeit with lower resolution and specs.
Alternatively, the Nothing Phone (3) also retails at around the same price. With a larger 6.67” display and a more powerful Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, it outperforms the Pixel in battery life and charging speeds, further enhancing its appeal.
The Samsung Galaxy S25 FE stands at a competitive price of $200 less than the Pixel 10. Offering a 6.7” display along with a balanced battery life of 11:57 hours, it is a solid option for users looking for a dependable bar phone experience.
Premium Pixel Offerings
For those willing to invest more, the Google Pixel 10 Pro XL is currently available with a $300 discount, making it more accessible. This model features a 6.8” LTPO display and a 5,200mAh battery with a commendable 12:29 hours of usage.
However, the standard Google Pixel 10 Pro has not seen a price drop, remaining competitive but potentially exceeding the cost of the Pro XL due to its similar display size and battery capacity.
