How It Works
Instead of providing direct blood sugar readings such as mmol/L or mg/dL, the Watch GT 6 Pro utilizes photoplethysmography (PPG) technology. This approach measures changes in blood volume through light absorption and then analyzes various metrics over a period of three to 14 days. The results can be viewed in the device’s dedicated Diabetes Risk app, providing users insights into their glucose levels and potential diabetes risk.
Although currently exclusive to the Watch GT 6 Pro, reports indicate that Huawei is exploring the possibility of extending this feature to additional products in their lineup. Catches and Drawbacks
