At the beginning of the year, Pebble introduced new wearables to its portfolio: the Pebble Core 2 Duo and Core Time 2. Spearheaded by original Pebble founder Eric Migcovsky, these devices offer subtle yet notable performance improvements that cater to a broad audience. However, it seems there’s even more excitement on the horizon as Pebble gears up to announce another product this year.
Pebble Teases One More Thing Before the End of the Year
Pebble currently features a countdown timer on its website, confirming a big announcement on December 10th. Although specifics about this forthcoming device remain under wraps, speculation suggests it could be a new smartwatch. A potential round dial design is on the table, which would contrast with the rectangular e-paper displays of the newly launched models.
The company previously offered a round smartwatch, the Pebble Time Round, back in 2015, known for its sleek design at just 7.5mm thick and a lightweight of 28 grams. This historical context adds intrigue to the speculation surrounding the upcoming product.
This Could Be a Smartwatch with a Round Dial
When users click on the round icon on the official website, they are redirected to a page for signing up to receive updates about Pebble products. Currently, there are no teaser images or clips available to provide hints, but fortunately, the wait for details won’t be long.
Notably, the Core 2 Duo wearable—priced at $149—is already sold out on Pebble’s website, indicating robust consumer demand. Meanwhile, the Core Time 2 is set for release in March 2026, retailing at $225. Together with the return of the Pebble App Store, the company appears to be positioning itself for a significant comeback in the wearables market.
