Xiaomi has officially launched the Xiaomi 15T and 15T Pro in Pakistan, with pre-orders currently available. The Xiaomi 15T is priced at Rs. 169,999, while the Xiaomi 15T Pro starts at Rs. 233,999 for the 12GB + 512GB variant. Both models introduce upgraded displays, refined designs, more powerful camera systems, and larger batteries compared to their predecessors, the 14T lineup.
Display and Design
The Xiaomi 15T series features larger 6.83-inch OLED panels, a noticeable upgrade from the 6.67-inch displays found on the 14T models. Notably, despite the increase in size, both devices remain slim and manage to accommodate bigger batteries. The 15T Pro boasts a 144Hz refresh rate, while the standard 15T maintains a 120Hz rate, allowing for smooth visuals. Both displays support Dolby Vision and HDR10+, achieving peak brightness levels of up to 3,200 nits. Additionally, a stereo speaker setup with Dolby Atmos enhances the overall multimedia experience.
Durability has not been overlooked. Both devices are rated IP68, meaning they can withstand immersion in water up to three meters deep. The displays are protected by Gorilla Glass 7i, while the Pro model utilizes a sleek 7.96mm aluminum frame, weighing in at 210g. The standard 15T is slightly slimmer at 7.5mm and weighs 194g, featuring a plastic frame. Color options for the 15T include Black, Gray, and Rose Gold, whereas the 15T Pro is available in Black, Gray, and Mocha Gold.
Performance and Software
The performance profile of the Xiaomi 15T Pro is anchored by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chip, coupled with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and storage options up to 1TB. This setup is complemented by a 3D IceLoop cooling system, designed to sustain high performance during gaming and demanding tasks.
On the other hand, the Xiaomi 15T operates on the capable Dimensity 8400-Ultra processor, backed by 12GB of RAM and storage up to 512GB of UFS 4.1. Both smartphones run on HyperOS 3, ensuring an efficient and seamless user experience. Connectivity features are equally advanced, with the 15T Pro supporting Wi-Fi 7, while the standard model provides Wi-Fi 6E. Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, and offline phone-to-phone communication are also supported, boasting impressive ranges of 1.9 km on the Pro variant and 1.3 km on the standard model.
Camera Upgrades
When it comes to photography, the Pro edition shines with a 50MP OmniVision Light Fusion sensor (1/1.31”, f/1.62, OIS) for the main camera. A new 50MP telephoto lens featuring 5x optical zoom (115mm, f/3.0, OIS) is also included, along with a 12MP ultra-wide lens that offers a 120° field of view and a 32MP front-facing camera. Video capabilities extend to 8K at 30 fps, while 4K can reach up to 120fps, including support for a 10-bit Log mode at 4K 60 fps.
The standard Xiaomi 15T features a robust camera system as well, including a 50MP Light Fusion 800 main sensor (1/1.55”, f/1.7, OIS) and a 50MP telephoto lens providing 2x optical zoom (46mm). It also has a 12MP ultra-wide camera and a 32MP front-facing shooter. Video features include HDR10+ recording at 4K 30fps and a 10-bit Log mode at 4K 60 fps, ensuring high-quality content creation.
Both models prioritize lens quality with Leica Summilux lenses and offer enhanced Portrait Master modes, allowing for improved photography across varying lighting conditions.
Battery and Charging
Xiaomi has also increased the battery capacity to 5,500 mAh for both models, a step up from the previous generation’s 5,000 mAh. The 15T Pro supports rapid charging at 90W via wired connections and 50W for wireless charging via HyperCharge. Meanwhile, the standard 15T supports a respectable 67W charging through cables.
Availability in Pakistan
Xiaomi is currently offering a free screen replacement within the first six months of purchase, as well as labor-free out-of-warranty repairs during the first year.
