OpenAI has recently launched app integrations within ChatGPT, allowing users to connect accounts directly to the assistant. This functionality enables users to instruct ChatGPT to perform various tasks on their behalf. For example, with the integration of Spotify, users can ask it to create personalized playlists that will appear directly in their Spotify app.
To initiate these integrations, ensure you are logged into ChatGPT. Simply type the name of the app you wish to utilize at the beginning of your prompt, and ChatGPT will assist you in signing in and linking your account.
If you prefer to set up multiple connections at once, you can navigate to the Settings menu, click on Apps and Connectors, and browse through the available apps. Once you select the ones you want to link, ChatGPT will lead you to the sign-in pages for each one.
However, it’s crucial to understand that connecting your account means you’ll be sharing your app data with ChatGPT. Be sure to review the permissions before linking your accounts. For instance, connecting your Spotify account allows ChatGPT to access your playlists, listening history, and other personal information.
