Exploring Samsung’s Innovative OLED Concepts at CES 2026
Every year, Samsung’s display division showcases its vision of the future through a series of innovative concept devices equipped with cutting-edge screens. Taking a look back, we can remember the dual-folding concept introduced in 2021, which transitioned to a consumer-ready product in late 2025 as the Galaxy Z TriFold. At CES 2026, Samsung is once again pushing the envelope, giving us a glimpse into potential future technologies that could redefine how we interact with screens.
Robots Deserve OLED, Too
This year, Samsung is focusing on the versatility of OLED display technology, aiming to show how it can be adapted across various platforms. Among the featured devices is the AI OLED Bot, a robotic companion featuring a substantial 13.4-inch circular display and integrated AI conversational abilities. Although it sports two curved arms, the extent of its capabilities remains uncertain.
Samsung imagines this innovative robot serving as a “teaching assistant” within university settings, guiding students to classrooms and providing pertinent information, such as professor profiles. However, being a concept device, its journey to actual store shelves remains uncertain. Some may recall Samsung’s previous attempt with the Ballie AI companion robot, introduced back in 2020 and still not available for purchase as of 2026. The promise of the AI OLED Bot is intriguing, and with intelligent displays also appearing in some of Samsung’s fridges, its chances of reaching market viability may be slightly higher than those of Ballie.
Prepping OLED for the Future
Samsung has also ventured into the world of retro music instruments, giving them a modern OLED twist. The aptly named AI OLED Cassette showcases a design that integrates two 1.5-inch round OLED displays, resembling a cassette player but with a contemporary flair.

Taking innovation a step further, the AI OLED Turntable reimagines the classic vinyl record player by replacing it with a grand 13.4-inch round OLED screen. This redesign eliminates traditional turntable components, such as the tonearm and counterweight, presenting a sleek silhouette intermingling modern display technology with retro aesthetics.

In addition to these unique offerings, Samsung is delving into wearable technology with a head-worn concept featuring next-gen micro displays aimed at XR devices, such as smart glasses and headsets. The 1.4-inch RGB OLEDoS units deliver an astonishing pixel density of 5,000 PPI, nearly tripling the density of a standard 4K television.
