Fantastic phone that actually functions well.
It’s the best Eink phone (yes, they decrease your screen time, as you won’t get hooked on the short videos). You can customize the Eink settings for each app, which is a must-have feature for any Eink phone. I bought this after trying that Minimal phone, which did not function well, mainly because they chose to put in some other paper display instead of ‘Eink’. About the malware issue, I installed BitDefender to keep a check, and it has caught nothing as of now. I learnt it was a one-day thing that happened because of a third party app.

Updated 10/08/2025 Review:”Outstanding” “Impressive” build quality and implementation of E-ink technology in a “real” daily driver smart phone. Excellent battery life. Excellent screen viewing under the outdoor Sun. E-ink technology smart phones should be specifically made for the U.S. market by the main stream manufacturers.Now the Warning: There are hard coded programs on the phone that allow third parties to see “everything” you do and have put on the phone. (Specifically the PRC Government) “Unless” you are somewhat technically educated to take proactive measures “every time” you restart the phone. Hense the one star rating. We are speaking of Face Unlock, Screensaver, xMenuControl and Navigation Ball. Note: The Sogou keyboard can be turned off in Settings and replaced with GBoard, so that’s not a issue. But the other four programs cannot. You can only block them from running in-between reboots. Sophos Interceptor X in the Google Play Store can help with that.Conclusion: This is a Five Star phone. But one must understand how it works.Only if you know how to circumvent the Bigme HiBreak Pro security risks; it is one excellent E-ink smartphone.

Una de mis mejores compras, es el teléfono perfecto para mi, queria un teléfono para leer más, para proteger la vista y para usar menos el móvil y no hay teléfono que haga mejor esto que este móvil, tenía algunos fallos al principio, pero con la última actualización ya no he tenido ningún problema, no suelo poner comentarios pero quiero que mejoren más en esta tecnología.

-viele App-Abstürze oder Einfrieren-Einfrieren Bildschirm, ohne dass eine App gestartet wurde–spontane Neustarts (Reboot)-Aufhängen bei Neustarts und spontanen Neustarts-bei Startbildschirm in Einstellungen anpassen, hat 1x geklappt (Kalender und Uhrzeit) Einstellung verloren. Danach bin ich nicht 1x mehr in die Einstellung des Startbildschirmes gekommen, da, in dem Moment, wo man diesen anklickt, man aus Eintellungen geschmissen wird. Reproduzierbar!-beim letzten spontanen Neustart hing Gerät über 40 Min. im Reboot fest. Ein-/Austaste ließ sich auch nicht mehr betätigen!-nach über 40 Minuten und mehreren Versuchen, die Ein-/Austaste zu betätigen, hat diese reagiert. Gerät wurde erfolgreich neugestartet!-teilweise merkwürdige bis falsche Übersetzung!-oder Apps, die mit chinesischen Wörtern/Bezeichnungen daherkommen. Direkt deinstalliert! Was soll ich damit anfangen???-Icons in Farbe funktioniert nicht beim hibreak pro! Selbst nach Anleitung mit KI und bei Finden und betätigen der richtigen Buttons und Regler aufdrehen, Farbe Icons und/oder Farbe Hintergrund, unter Comic und Magazin, es bleibt schwarz-weiß! Auch nach Neustarts!-ein Foto zeigt, dass ich ein Update machen kann. Klicke an, es wird gemacht und war erfolgreich, so wird es angezeigt! Dieses Update kann ich 1000 x und mehr machen, wenn ich es will. Dazu muss ich nur in Einstellungen gehen und dieses immer wieder anklicken! Ich kann das also immer und immer wieder machen! Muss ich aber gar nicht, weil da auch so immer wieder aufploppt! Bringt aber nie was, auch wenn es immer als erfolgreich angezeigt wurde!Habe noch Zeit, das Ganze zu beobachten.Eingeschobener Nachtrag: Aber keinerlei Geduld und Hoffnung mehr, nachdem es heute Abend wieder zu mehreren Abstürzen und Problemen kam habe ich das Ding für den Rückversand vorbereitet! Hatte einfach genug von dem ansonsten sehr teuren Gerät!So sehr ich mich auch über dieses „Kindle-Minimal-Phone gefreut habe.
