Almost perfect for a limited budget
The computer has been quite a ride. When I purchased it, the price was $679, which was more than reasonable considering everything it offers. Of course, at that price some might expect a poor product, but that’s not the case here. Still, I would say this is more of a “project” laptop, as upgrading the RAM is absolutely necessary if you plan to use it for demanding tasks.Performance:With the limited RAM, it handles basic and relatively simple tasks well. For more demanding tasks, performance is just average. The system runs fast overall, Wi-Fi speed is solid, and the graphics are decent as long as you’re not too demanding. As mentioned, this computer shines as a base to upgrade, especially by adding more RAM.Display:The screen looks good. Since it’s an LCD panel, you can’t expect extremely vibrant colors, but it still delivers a pleasant experience and the refresh rate is more than sufficient.Cons:1. The spacebar does not have backlighting.2. The RAM is very limited.Issues Experienced:1. The pre-installed Windows was defective. After transferring files from my old computer, it started deleting data and even erased my entire user folder. I basically lost almost everything, recovering only a few files I had on another SSD. I had to reformat and reinstall Windows, which was a chaotic first experience. However, after installing a fresh copy of Windows 11, I haven’t encountered the same problems again.2. RAM limitations are significant. Just being on the desktop consumes around 80% of the available memory. I strongly recommend purchasing additional RAM to avoid these restrictions.Overall, it’s a good value laptop for the price, but keep in mind that adding more RAM is essential to get the most out of

Price/quality
Plays “Metro Exodus”, Enhanced Edition flawlessly. Performs just as well as my old i7, 3050Ti that bit the dust. I am surprisingly, very happy with this purchase. I took a chance and I’m glad I did. I did adjust the volume in the game to 100% and the laptop volume. The software that comes with the laptop was highly helpful. I love this laptop and highly recommend purchasing it if your like me in need of a decent gamer. Take your time and set it up properly and you’ll have a great midsize gamer. Thanks for reading my review.

Sims friend
I gotta say this was a good purchase. It runs super smoothly (mainly use my computer for sims) And it doesn’t lag. I have all the packs for sims downloaded And sims 3 And it running for both. No lagging. It’s super easy to use And I love the backlit keyboard. Definetly recommend for my fellow simmers.

Not game ready
Not sure if this craptop is game ready as it will not support a Meta Quest VR. That why you never buy a laptop to game on. Luckily, I really didn’t buy to game with.

Fun for gaming but frustrating for daily use
This is a pretty solid value gaming laptop with a few weak points. As a heads-up for gaming, to get the most performance you have to plug into a power source (expected). I was able to play Doom Eternal on a High “plus” setting at 1080p (GeForce Experience seems to auto populate the best settings, so it’s Custom in-game). Looks amazing and is buttery smooth. In Shadow of the Tomb Raider, I could bump the setting to Max and it played / looked great. Minecraft (Bedrock) runs great also, and have been using this laptop for that a lot. For gaming, I paired an Xbox One controller via bluetooth, which worked great. However, during intense gameplay in Doom, I had some instability and the game crashed as I was about to complete a tricky checkpoint. Maybe heat related but I deliberately play on a hard flat surface so that the cooling can do its job. That was a one-off though (will update if that happens again). The display itself is ok: 1080p on a 15″ screen has visible pixels, but for gaming it works fine. What wasn’t fine was the stuck pixel in the middle of the display that shines brightly whenever the rest pf the screen is dark. Trying some troubleshooting / tools to resolve but so far unsuccessful. Loses a star for this. I other regards, I don’t think the color is particularly accurate and wouldn’t choose to do any photo/video editing on it. It’s just ok.The rest of the build quality is pretty good, lots of plastic. If you’re used to Apple products, it feels like a step down but for a PC laptop it’s nice. The trackpad works well, as do gestures, which is something I use a lot. Weight is acceptable for a 15″ laptop.Looking at other features, the integrated webcam is pretty disappointing. 720p resolution, poor low light performance. Audio capture (AI Noise Reduction supposedly) sounded pretty clear but I’d rather use my phone or iPad for meetings. In terms of audio, the built in speakers are ok but when gaming the fans are so loud you can barely hear your game. Thankfully, the headphone port is well placed and drives my Victrix Gambit headphones easily, plenty of volume available. For general usage, it’s a mixed bag and likely limited by the memory specs. When downloading some games over wifi (good performance at 340/420 down/up; I have a 500Mbit fiber plan), the whole system slowed to a crawl and I couldn’t really use the laptop until it completed the downloads. I’m not used to this on my Macs but they do have 16GB memory vs only 8GB here. The storage is plenty fast, with read speeds around 4,800MB/sec and Writes at around 3,950MB/sec. No complaints there, it would just be nice to have more storage as 512GB isn’t a lot.The biggest complaint is really the general lack of snappiness when opening files or apps. Things that are near-instant on my other machines take a few seconds (or more) to happen on the Nitro V 15. When there’s background activity (and with Windows / bloatware, there’s always something), even keyboard input sometimes starts to lag.Overall, I do feel like you get your money’s worth in terms of gaming, but it fails as a general all-rounder for daily use. Will invest in some more memory and report back whether that significantly improves things. The performance issues and display pixel flaw are frustrating (latter might might require a return) and combined I can’t rate this more than 3 stars.
