   Vivid OLED Powerhouse for Work and PlayI’ve been using the Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5 (16″, 2025 model) and it’s a strong option for creators and gamers who want a premium-feeling laptop without going full “desktop replacement.” The 16″ OLED display is the star, exceptionally vivid and noticeably brighter than other laptops I’ve used, which makes both creative work and games pop. Setup was quick (about 30 minutes), Windows Hello face sign-in worked right away, and overall responsiveness has been snappy.For gaming, I saw smooth performance in Helldivers on low–medium settings. For creator tasks, it’s handled 3D scanning and processing reliably. The keyboard layout feels slightly off-center; it threw me for a bit at first but wasn’t a deal-breaker.    Turned me into a believer. This is the computer of the future. NOW. It is AMAZING
   I will be honest. I was a DIE HARD Mac fan. I did not think ANY other computer could sway me from my decades long love of the Mac. As a creative, I just thought that had to be the go-to.Then I began reading reviews and headlines about this computer…but can you trust that? It was listed as exceptional for creative design, homework and learning, and sound. When I began reading about all it could do, I jumped in.WOW!!! I cannot believe it got me. It did!! This does so much and it just shows me what the world of learning and creating and using a computer will become. Starting now.First, the AI tool is WILD!! SOOOOO much better than my ChatGPT and other apps I have used and this one is built right in. I asked it to design a cowgirl painted on a ceramic platter and the ideas and visions it came up with in seconds was far more exceptional than those I’d seen before. Then I asked homework questions and scheduling needs and wow it was fast and brilliant and FUN.Then I learned about creating ideas in PaintAnd looking up and classifying things on the computer. That is where my Mac really struggled. I’d download a file on my old computer and it was lost in an abyss. I can actually DESCRIBE the file I am looking for…like “the invitation that has a woman holding a hat on the front” and it can look it up that way so I can find it. Insane.The screen is the perfect size. Bigger. Easy to read. Vibrant colors. Yet the computer is so lightweight!! This is just amazing for gaming, watching shows, creating photo collages, or social media viewing. It is better.The keypad is the wave of the future. So many more buttons and options yet you type normally on the keypad! Finally a computer than lets you back up and go back to other recent things you viewed, other pages, EASILY, to find something you saw in the past…so many things to exploreSetting it up was CRAZY EASY Complete no-brainer. And it asks questions to made it individualized for your needs.The clarity of the screen? Brilliant. Far more clear than my Mac. LIke a high def TV. Beautiful.I just am getting started and I am already giddy. This computer is beyond my expectations and already making my needs met faster, easier, and better

   Crashes
   While this does work as intended, this particular product I got would crash frequently. I have done plenty of troubleshooting with this and made sure everything is updated, however it still persists, leading me to believe it is a hardware issue.

   One unfortunate flaw
   For the most part, this laptop is great. It is fast, responsive and the battery lasts for a long time. It has been a while since I have owned a PC because I am more of a Mac person. I am not going to do a direct comparison with Mac because they are very different operating systems with very different features. I will say that the battery life is comparable and the overall clarity of the screen is very nice, especially when editing high quality photos. I do like that it utilizes many different inputs and outputs because my Mac has gone almost exclusively to USB-C which means I need adapters for certain things. One of the things I miss about PC’s was the ability to upgrade hardware… and this is my biggest complaint for this laptop… it only comes with 16GB RAM and it can’t be upgraded by simply swapping out memory chips like the ones I was used to. Not that Mac is any better since they do the same thing, BUT… my Mac was purchased with 96GB of RAM. I think in 2025, 16GB is a fairly small amount, but since I am not doing any video editing on this, it should be okay for a while. I do like the option of being able to run more apps that aren’t available on my Mac, so its kind of a give and take scenario.
