This is the best expression of a Windows laptop ever made
Love this machine. I was worried going from Intel to Qualcomm due to compatibility issues I’ve read about, but I’ve experienced none of them. From a software perspective everything I use has either an ARM compatible version or emulation is working flawlessly. Adobe software is ARM native. Solidworks emulates well. From a hardware perspective– it’s 2025 and it sounds like some people with compatibility issues are stuck in 2010. My mouse is bluetooth, my printer is wifi, and external display via USB-C– so no compatibility issues. The laptop build quality is fantastic and matches Macbooks. Battery life is fantastic. Computer wakes from sleep in about 2 seconds which was my biggest gripe with my old Intel-based Surface Pro 8, which sometimes took 30 seconds to realize I was trying to use it.

I love this thing. I’m not a techy or a computer nerd so no specs from me. It starts fast, doesn’t crash, has a nice screen, sound and camera are good. What more do you need?

Love the size and performance (overall)
I have had a Microsoft tablet or laptop for the past 10 years. They have been great for me. Only real issue with this one is the ARM processor. I have a Brother all in one printer and the driver isn’t compatible with this processor and it doesn’t seem like they are going to create one for it. I had to buy an Epson scanner so I can scan documents. I can only use the printer wirelessly. If it had an Intel or AMD, it would have been better.

This laptop meets all my needs. It has great battery life, and I haven’t encountered any apps that won’t run. It’s been a fantastic purchase.

Not worth the money
Not worth the money I paid. There is not even a outlet for a speaker in it. It doesn’t come with chrome. the charger is so fragile. There no place for a SD card, ethernet. It is really a basic plain Jane laptop. I like it, but there no accessories. Can’t hook a printer up to it there is no outlet. Wouldn’t buy it again.

Keyboard did not work and power button takes too much time
There were problems with keyboard out of the box. Spent an hour trying to fix it. Power button takes a little of time too. Will be returning it.

ARM processors problems with hardware and software
Switching to MacBook Air. I originally wanted to upgrade my Win 10 Surface Laptop to new one with win 11. Purchased this through Amazon.Took over week to arrive. After nearly hour of updates and reboots, new Surface was looking good. High marks for overall build and display. However, apparently the ARM chip was not playing well with music software and drivers not working smoothly with my audio interface. Also while troubleshooting, found there is a corrupt file somewhere, but unable to find and correct (frankly why should I have to?) After days of headaches and troubleshooting, I gave up. Also as others note, Microsoft has a lot of unwanted popups to add Onedrive, and many adverts on Edge. Got a new (Costco) MacBook Air 13 and appreciate how easy it is to run software and I’m back in business. PC has its advantages but it’s just not worth it to me at this point.
