I purchased a knock-off cartridge and it would not fit correctly into my printer which was listed as a compatable with my printer. So I went ahead and purchased the more expensive OEM and it worked perfectly the first time. I guess it is true, you get what you pay for. Ten Times Better Than Non-OEM
I have been using generic/non-OEM toner cartridges in my printers for years since I did not need high quality output for the things I print. And, yes, this is also because they are much cheaper to buy.However, things changed when my college student son started printing out resumes and I saw how bad they looked. Once I ordered and installed this OEM toner cartridge, the quality of his printouts was significantly improved. Expensive.Not Amazon’s fault, HP propriety issue.What the companies need to do is to give us a refund on turning in the empty toner cartridges the way we return empty bottles for a refund. Let’s help the environment by recycling. When you buy a toner cartridge you are paying for the toner and the cartridge.The HP printer has been designed to use a specific size of powder in the toner that will give you an excellent printout coverage and it is a patented process so no one else can use this formula. You cannot really see the difference with a black knock off but when you are replacing colour toner cartridges you can actually see the colour rendition on your printout is not up to par.
