This was not unlocked cannot be used as phone unless you pay to have it corrected by the company of choice if they are able to which is fairly costly. It won’t work with tract phone cards. I don’t recommend this.

Good looking phone with no NFC feature
I’m new to UMIDIGI products and found their G9x mobile phone to be a laudable Android model. Mine is the silver/gray color and looks professional, chic, and sleek. It has popular specs, some of which are better than my present phone. One example is the expansion capacity of 1TB. I like the available biometrics options. Also, this UMIDIGI phone’s camera has a 1MP advantage, but the dimensions and weight are nearly the same as my current phone. One thing I dislike is that this phone has less RAM than I’m accustomed to and is not water-resistant. Unlike my current phone, the G9x model does not have the NFC feature – which I thought was standard on Android phones. Overall, I wouldn’t use this as a primary phone (unless I had to), but it is a competitive phone for my secondary line. It has features that I like, but not enough of my preferred specs. This would make a terrific basic mobile phone for someone who has limited tech skills or does very little “work” via mobile device.

Detailed info is available on the Umidigi oe Amazon website.The Umidigi brand isn’t the new kid on the block, they’ve been around since 2012. They offer many levels of phones from budget minded global phones such as the G9x to the Pro or Note series phones, packing BIG power plants under the hood. Umidigi keeps up with the security features and OS updates OTA, many phone manufactures don’t. I’m extremely pleased with the responsibility Umidigi takes in ownership of after the sale support.Now let me introduce you to the G9x, it’s budget minded, but still packs a ton of items under its hood thanks to the hardware and software which drive this device.Most phones have been stripped of the 3.5mm audio jack with the accompanied AM/FM built in radio, the G9x still has both features. Most phones are moving away from supporting a Micro SD/TF memory card, the G9x offers that support. The microSD/TF slot offers support for an extra terabyte of storage, that’s nothing to laugh at Amazon shoppers.The G9x comes with 4GB of dynamic memory with the capability of expanding it another 4GB virtually, providing 8GB total. What does that mean, it means you’ll encounter fewer hiccups and stutters while using your phone.This device has under the hood an Android 14 Go Edition to make it sing, Google Play is built in and offers you thousands of software options. Android 14 will be supported will into the future, keeping your phone secure and safe. I’ve had no problems.Face recognition, fingerprint biometrics, pattern, or password protection for secure logging into the phone.I’ll simply say the sound isn’t stereo, meaning it has one loudspeaker. It sounds great, and plenty loud for a speaker phone conversation, streaming music or watching an Amazon Prime video. I haven’t noticed any sound issues with the speakers or microphones.Connectivity has been seamless, be it wifi, bluetooth or a mobile network. It is a mobile communication device after all, you want to know if it will connect to your mobile network. It will work on the mvno US Mobile, they offer service on all three major carriers. The G9x isn’t a 5G phone, it’s 4G/LTE and all 3 major carriers will say yes it works, but with limited connectivity. I’m providing the network radio frequencies so you can call your provider and share the frequencies. If you get an approval and go from your carrier, knowing you won’t get 5G (which 98% of the people don’t need); enter the phones dial app, then enter *#*3463#*#* this will allow you to change the phones mobile radio frequency settings. Set the current radio to GSM/WCDMA/LTE (PRL), this will cover all the major US carriers with 4G coverage. My Redmi Note 12 broken and needed a quick phone to sort my banking and emails out. Got this yesterday and so far all seems good. Battery has lasted a long time, screen and sound is okay. It does not have NFC but or the price, can’t go wrong.
