This is a very nice little screen, I was amazed at the picture quality.
This is a very nice little screen, I was amazed at the picture quality. It’s also amazing this comes with a touch screen and speakers for this price. My only complaint is I tried to use it as a virtual stream deck but wasn’t able to get it to work easily and repurposed the monitor for a Raspberry Pi display, this wasn’t a problem with the monitor but rather my laptop setup.

Bricked GUI from Driver Install
Installing the driver went well, but caused there to be a new environment. After reboot, there would be a message stating “failed to start session”. The PI would no longer output HDMI, and after trying to revert the driver install and config changes, I decided the install changed things much deeper than I was willing to spend my time on. I eventually was forced to reinstall the OS due to how deeply everything was broken.

Works with Raspberry Pi 5
I read through the reviews and saw multiple statements that this screen didn’t work with a Raspberry Pi 5. That is incorrect. I installed standard 64 bit Pi OS, then followed the instructions to install the driver once the OS was loaded. No issues following this method. I will say that I was unable to get the device working with the standard Kali load, but I have not yet tried the load from the screen manufacturer.

Lower than expected performance
Advertised as supporting up to 32 mhz but realistically can only get about 24 hz on the display before terrible video artifacts. If you are trying to use this with a raspberry pi, you realistically will only get about ~15 fps video playback because the SPI connection

Only works with Debian Bullseye
If you are buying this touchscreen save yourself a lot of time and make sure to use DEBIAN BULLSEYE I spent waaay too long trying to get this display to work with bookworm and I couldn’t get it to do anything but flicker on and off. Once I switched to bullseye it immediately started working.I wish the documentation said that. Would’ve saved me a lot of time.

A Nice Little Screen to See whats going on while I Play
Some people were complaining about the install, but it was easy using the Raspian Pi 5 64 bit OS and following the instructions. Worked first try. I tried it with Kali Linux 64 bit, but it would not work. I didn’t try any of the custom 32 bit OS images the seller advertised for download, but I bet they work. I recommend this screen if using any of the advertised custom images or the Rasbian Pi 5 64 Bit OS.

Small but Large, in a good way.
Got this for my Pi 4B. I had a 4 inch and needed something smaller and that didn’t require me to connect the HDMI port. This solved the issue. I even connected it to my Zero 2 W every now and then when I need to use it while moving around. Getting the drivers setup on a device you already own is a pain in the butt for this but using the provided images does seem to simplify the process if you’re starting from scratch. If you need to install them manually though, Reddit will be your friend as the instructions weren’t that helpful at the time of purchase.

The driver does not work with anything but their own versions of raspbian/kali. And their versions of the OS have tons of issues as well.The touchscreen is awful, barely works and is innacurate. Screen is very low quality and many pixels are broken. Do not waste money on this

As other reviews have mentioned, you need to install third party drivers for this display to work properly. However, when used on a Rasperry Pi 0, installation of the drivers causes some sort of issue where it can no longer connect to the network, and thus you can’t use SSH to complete the setup. Might be fine for other devices that have inbuilt wifi, but I was not able to make it work over USB LAN, so it accurately is near impossible with a headless setup.
