Huawei has officially confirmed the arrival of the Watch GT Runner 2 through a post on social media platform X. This smartwatch is the successor to the original Watch GT Runner and has been co-developed with Eliud Kipchoge, a two-time Olympic marathon gold medallist. A brief video clip shared by Huawei highlights the smartwatch’s new “Intelligent Marathon Mode,” designed to assist runners in their marathon training regimes.
Eliud Kipchoge expressed enthusiasm about the collaborative process, stating that it is rewarding for him to contribute insights and suggestions to enhance the smartwatch experience for both elite athletes and recreational runners globally.

The Huawei Watch GT Runner 2 is expected to come packed with significant upgrades over its predecessor. Among these features is an ultra-precision positioning system, which is crucial for runners during training and competitive events.
