Bang & Olufsen Unveils the Beo Grace Earbuds
Bang & Olufsen has launched its latest innovation in the audio world: the Beo Grace earbuds. Priced at a stunning $1,500, these earbuds are not just another pair of wireless headphones; they come with a bold aluminum design and boast what the brand describes as their “most advanced” active noise cancellation (ANC) technology to date.
Design and Audio Technology
The Beo Grace earbuds feature 12mm titanium drivers, ensuring that sound quality remains uncompromised. Equipped with six microphones, the earbuds’ ANC adapts dynamically to ambient noise as well as the unique shape of your ears, providing a customizable listening experience that minimizes disruptions from outside sounds.
Furthermore, these earbuds support Dolby Atmos spatial audio, enhancing the clarity and depth of music playback. They also include a transparency mode, similar to that found in the high-end Beoplay H100 headphones, allowing users to blend their music with the sounds of their environment without any unwanted hiss or distortion.
Enhanced Features and Battery Life
One of the standout features of the Beo Grace earbuds is the tactile controls combined with “NearTap” technology, which allows users to adjust volume simply by tapping near their ears. However, the battery life presents a slight drawback: with ANC activated, users can expect around 4.5 hours of playback, notably less than the six hours promised by the previously released $499 Beoplay Eleven earbuds. Nonetheless, Bang & Olufsen claims to have worked with battery intelligence company Breathe to enhance the longevity of the Beo Grace’s battery, reportedly passing internal tests for over 2,000 charge cycles.
Versatile Charging Case
Accompanying the earbuds is a sleek aluminum charging case that doubles as an audio transmitter. By connecting it to any device with USB-C or a line-in port, users can stream audio directly from laptops, airplane TVs, and more. For those who desire extra protection, a leather pouch is available for an additional $400, adding to the premium experience that Bang & Olufsen aims to deliver.
Availability
The Beo Grace earbuds are currently available for preorder, with expected shipping commencing on November 17th. This launch marks another significant entry for Bang & Olufsen into the luxury audio market, promising an audio experience designed for discerning listeners.
