Apple Announces AirPods Pro 3: A New Era of True Wireless Earbuds
Apple has officially unveiled the AirPods Pro 3, marking the latest generation of its pro-model true wireless earbuds. With enhanced noise cancellation, a host of new features, and a revamped design for improved comfort, the new AirPods Pro aim to set a benchmark in the audio market. The AirPods Pro series has emphasized active noise cancellation (ANC) as a core feature, positioning it as one of the best in-ear solutions available.
During the recent WWDC event on September 9, Apple claimed that the “AirPods Pro 3 will have the best active noise cancellation of any in-ear headphones on the market.” This ambitious assertion builds on the high regard established by the AirPods Pro 2 ANC performance. As a result, Apple appears confident in positioning its new earbuds as superior to competitors like Google’s Pixel Buds Pro 2 and Sony’s WF-1000XM4. It’s essential to note that while competitors have made strides, the AirPods Pro 2 was well-received for its effective ANC, paving the way for Apple’s bold claims.
The Apple AirPods Pro 3 Remove Four Times as Much Noise as the Original AirPods Pro
If you currently own an older model of AirPods Pro, you might wonder if an upgrade is warranted. While existing models are indeed functional, significant improvements have been made with the new release. Notably, Apple confirms that the AirPods Pro 3 can eliminate four times as much noise as the original AirPods Pro, making them an attractive option for commuters frequently navigating noisy environments.
The ANC capabilities in the AirPods Pro 3 are also reported to be double that of previous models. This advancement can be attributed to a new multiport acoustic architecture that meticulously controls airflow around the ear, resulting in what Apple describes as an “exceptional spatial listening experience.” Furthermore, improvements to the Adaptive EQ and transparency modes ensure that voices sound more natural, enhancing communication.
Better Fit and Live Translation Capabilities
Alongside improved ANC, users can expect better battery longevity. Apple claims that the AirPods Pro 3 last longer than their predecessors, boasting up to 10 hours on a single charge while using transparency mode. A significant redesign features smaller earbuds, achieved through over 10,000 ear scans and extensive research. The internal architecture has been re-engineered to create a more comfortable fit, particularly for a broader audience.
The AirPods Pro 3 will come with five sizes of ear tips, which are now foam-infused for better stability within the ear. A notable new feature is the live translation capability, allowing users to have multilingual conversations seamlessly. The earbuds can translate spoken languages in real-time, displaying the translated responses on their iPhone. If two users, each with AirPods Pro 3, engage in conversation, they can communicate naturally, enhancing discussions across language barriers. Priced at $249.99, these earbuds are available for pre-order today, with a full launch scheduled for September 19.
