Great Update to a Strong Watch
I’m loving the new Ignite 3! Polar has really innovated and improved the Ignite watch series with the 3 by adding an AMOLED screen, more intuitive UI and even lightened up the watch making it barely noticeable on my wrist. The screen is brilliant and I’ve been using the always-on display and have seen battery life which lasts for at least 1.5 days. The interface is intuitive and though there is some lag (less-so with recent update) I find it doesn’t ruin my experience. I’ve attached a video demonstrating the responsive of the touchscreen. The improved screen also makes interacting with the watch more pleasant. Notifications, music controls, and setting are all easier to interact with on such a high resolution display.Ignite 3 is perfect for the gym and great for everyday training guidance via FitSpark. The new sleeping analysis with sleep boost has helped me to dial in the best time for me to workout for the day and sleep gate has been useful for knowing when to get to bed!TraingLoad Pro is a tool I have used for years to determine my workout intensity and it’s an amazing tool on the Ignite 3, especially now that I’m moving from heavy road cycling to indoor training and CrossFit.Ignite 3 is a complete package with modern aesthetics combined with hardcore training tools. If you’re just getting into a fitness routine or looking to improve your workout regime, you cannot go wrong with this watch!

    Disappointing experience
From day 1, it’s had crazy syncing issues. I spent countless hours brute forcing/tricking it into working with a OnePlus 12. Now, after around 1 year, the battery only lasts 1 day. Impossible to replace supposedly, designed to be disposable. They obviously went with the cheapest possible battery. After spending 400$ less than a year ago that’s an insane ripoff. Another issue is it’s extremely unreliable at turning the screen on when you need it. Want to see your heart rate during a workout? Almost impossible to get it to turn the screen on. Pushing the button force pauses the workout. Terrible design. This watch looks good, but it will always let you down. I will no longer use Polar products.

Does everything I need and nothing I don’t
I’m a huge Fitbit fanboy as I love activity trackers, but I’m not on the smartwatch bandwagon. I tried using smart watches in the past but I will not accept 24 hours of battery life. I have used Fitbit and then Coros which was great, but then I switched to this due to the beautiful display and other features. While the battery life is nowhere near what Coros I like the software of polar a little better and it fits my needs more closely. Battery life is roughly 5 days of standard use and I work out almost every day but I don’t use the GPS. I do every now and then but I do not use this feature often. Display is beautiful, functionality is great and I would recommend to anyone looking for an activity tracker.

    Best fitness tracker!
The Polar ignite watch range are the best we’ve tried and we have tried most of those that are on the market. Fast to charge, easy to link to mobile and other devices. Good bright back light and comfortable to wear.

  5. Zeiss Biogon

    Adequate, but Definitely Not Stellar
Other reviewers have remarked on how the software lags and its true. For example, you turn your wrist to make the screen icons appear, but often I have to turn multiple times to get the icons to show … and sometimes it seems that turning rapidly works … other times it seems that turning slowly works. This is frustrating if you’re in the middle of a workout and want to check you vitals. I think the Polar App is good and it syncs reasonably enough with your phone, and it provides a lot of pertinent information for me. Personally, I can do without the music and notification features that make it a “smart” watch. The color display is nice … but the watchband is terrible … I don’t get the design philosophy behind the watch band b/c , for me at least, it often meant I spent too much time trying to get the band tucked away. Not to mention that the band felt flimsy and was not of a texture that I liked. Fortunately, I replaced the band. Battery life is okay, if you think 5 or so days is okay. Because I’ve always used Polar watches (over the years, I’ve probably had 4-5 Polar watches), I chose this one … but next time is probably going to be another company assuming (and this is perhaps a big assumption) the accuracy and relevancy of information is equal to that of Polar.

  6. Jason M. Santeler

Nice watch, bright screen, band sucks, accuracy could be better
I said it all in the headline. Do yourself a favor and just buy the aftermarket band from the get go. The band sucks.

  7. PhotoB

Easy to use and informative, long battery
Easy to use, app is great. Battery life is about 4-5 days which is great. Very lightweight. Going to be pairing with the H10 and will update if any issues. As usual people with tattooed arms may not get accurate reading for HR as I do. This goes for 99% of all watches using light to read pulse etc.

  8. Jen

Charging this watch is a huge disappointment
Mixed feelings. Love the features. I was a big fan of polar, having purchased my first polar device in 2013.The hassle of charging this device has ruined polar for me. Huge pain in the rear. When it’s on the charger, I have to push the button to engage in syncing every 3 minutes or it stops charging. It can sit there all day and not budge. Hate it. Loathe it. Ruined polar for me. Considering the amount of money I spent, it’s a brand deal breaker for me. Save yourself. Buy a Garmin.

  9. Nigel Waterfall

I have a 1st generation ignite and this is much nicer, more functions, nicer display, and just better battery life, I don’t really like the strap, but that’s easy to change

  10. Johan Staaf

Snygg och lätt. Riktigt bra display med enkel hantering. Pekskärmen funkar bra. Notiser och sync till iPhone utan problem.Bandet är tråkigt. Har bytt till ett snyggt läderarmband.

  11. Mendolun
