    Business Phone
I got this phone as a business phone, so I’m only making a few texts/calls every day. I can’t relate to anyone who uses this more often… but I will say I’d feel for them.So this phone is great, I’ll start with that, but it definitely has tons of flaws (but it’s also really cheap, so expect them?) For one, it’s very sensitive! Anything you glance at and it opens/closes the app. You could be in the middle of typing and gently touch the home button and you’re there.Another thing is the speed. It is very laggy. I know it’s 4G, so I don’t expect it to be great…. but it’s impossible to use sometimes. Patience is necessary.Good things about the phone are that it comes with a phone case. It’s very easy to setup. It’s perfect for business purposes. It works with Mint and I’m assuming others. It can take a few beatings. I have had 0 issues with it to date. And I love the smaller more mobile size of it. Highly recommend.

After 31 days the battery would not charge
At first blush and high ratings, it seemed OK. On day 30 the battery would not charge so I did what most ordinary customers do… tried another charging cable that I knew worked and another charging source I also knew it to be operable. Alas, it did not charge. So I called Amazon Customer Service (you know the new customer-centric service!!!)n they would not budge. THE POLICY IS 30 DAYS UPON RECEIPT….NOT WHEN IT IS SHIPPED 30 DAYS. i AM AN OLD 72yrs and disabled with all the carnage of 3 Purple Hearts, 2 Navy Cross’s and The Medal of Honor presented to me by the President of the Republic of S. Vietnam and a host of others besides being captured by the Khmer Rough. I do not lie nor attempt to get something for nothing… it is simply an oath I learned at the Naval Academy.I was treated like a wounded dog. Amazon said they would not honor my request due to their policy of sticking to 30 day product warranty policy. So now I have to buy the 3rd phone within a year and buy the 2 year warranty for another $14 on a cheap phone. Go figure. Yep, sure feels like Customer-centric service. I have a limited budget and am tired of it all so we can buy more Chinese stuff. Finally, after an hour with this clown and sorry excuse for customer service, I finally asked for a 2-tier up manager who had to read the entire thread from the beginning. My hands are totally numb and I suffer from Associative Disorder which causes me to look at one key and type another (too many concussions). The guy even questioned the spelling of my words!! I think he thought he could wear me out like a dishcloth. Nope, didn’t happen. After a very long hour, the manager finally gave me my money back. I really was uncomfortable and asked for an apology for treating a disabled Vet with such disrespect and disdain for the elderly. A major fubar and a sad day for Amazon. Shame shame shame. Disgusting corporate customer-centrics for my money and they did not apologize. Lt. Commander, U.S.N. name witheld

Excellent second phone for my business + as a test bed for my app
I needed a second phone, with mid range specs to test my app with and answer incoming calls and texts for my company from customers and clients. I wasnt expecting much. Its got a gig of RAM and 16 gb of storage. It’s compatible with TextNow and that’s what I needed. Battery life is solid. Performance isnt the best but again, this isnt my Samsung Galaxy and I expected that. The camera isnt good either, except for posting pictures of goods to sell online for stuff like Amazon or Ebay. This little Alcatel delivers, and lets me be a full time Florida man property owner and business owner any time anywhere. Having 2 phones in public sure makes me feel cool too.

    Alcatel 1 deficiencies
Item arrived on time, I love the size & it’s reasonably priced for a dual sim unlocked phone. However, I noticed that the global time feature does not work & the battery drains fast, so it might be a good idea to include an extra battery in your purchase or hopefully the manufacturer will consider selling it w/ a spare battery.Calls kept going to voicemail instead of ringing. I returned the phone for replacement of the same. If the replacement has the same defects, then I will have to return it & look for another unlocked dual sim smartphone & change my rating.I’m hoping that it’s just the one I got that’s defective.Replacement arrived much earlier than originally stated. The global time on the replacement works this time, however, it still keeps on going to Voicemail. If I’m unable to make this ring w/ the help of IT support, this phone is going back again bec. it’s important not to miss a call especially when it’s important.

Good product for the price, but does not work on AT&T network
Phone is small, light and inexpensive. If you are planning to use it extensively and install memory consuming apps, then you will be disappointed, especially if you used regular smartphones before. As a basic phone for very basic functions it works well (considering the price). It’s definitely slower than a “normal” smartphone. The screen is good when looked at directly, but you can’t see much if you look at an angle.I purchased it for my 11 yo kid and restricted to phone calls and texts only. For this limited purpose this would have been a great phone and I would give it 5-stars, but only if I could make it work on AT&T network (Black Wireless MNVO). The data worked fine, but the cellular service was not functioning. I contacted the operator’s support, they checked the model and said that it’s not supported by AT&T.Amazon does not allow posting external links, but if you google for “AT&T service capabilities for your unlocked device” and “Devices in this list are tested and approved for the AT&T network”, you should see lists of devices currently supported by AT&T.
