A Quality Engineering Chromebook
If you are looking for a good Chromebook in Engineering, and are connecting to a dual or triple monitor setup. This Chromebook does the job very well for Engineering Tasks, but not necessarily in a Windows Environment. Linux works really well for Fusion 360, Solidworks, and Virtual Studio Code. Couple these tools with Autocad Web, and you have pretty stout Engineering Workflow. I also use an App named Asana to organize my work. I am a Freelance CAD Designer on Freelance dot com. I not only do Engineering tasks, but I also have a need to create freehand sketches on a Wacom Drawing Board. This Chromebook works very nice with CorelDraw Design and Sketchbook. Chrome Canvas is a good drawing App also for this Chromebook. Google Sheets, Google Docs, Microsoft 365 Online, all work really well using a web browser and this Chromebook. The battery life is excellent, it is also very lightweight compared to a laptop. Team this up with Chrome Remote Desktop, and you can connect to a powerful Desktop and work off of it. It is lightning fast at 8GB RAM and 128GB SSD. Screen is decent quality but improves with the correct monitor setup. WiFi is fast and had no connectivity issues. Power of this Chromebook is quite impressive for a Power User. It will require some research though, to be as productive as a laptop, but it can be done if you document your workflow and ask GROK to list out a workflow for you. I highly recommend this Chromebook for Design, Engineering, Art Documents, and General Office Duties. I take it everywhere I go. Speaking of that, be sure to utilize the App named NoteLM. It is a game changer for professional careers. Does really well at Programming Drones also, use BetaFlight & HeliDrone.

Full functionality at a great price
Full functionality (no built-in camera), lightweight, Chromebook. Love the case, which is slightly textured to improve handling. The display and sound are clear. Good price.

Very user friendly
Very fast and the operating system is fantastic. After using Microsoft and Windows on a PC for many years, I find this system is extremely user friendly. I switched since my old PC could not download Windows 11 due to system requirements. So instead of spending several hundred dollars on a PC, i decided to purchase this and I am glad I did. I also purchased a wireless mouse since I find this easier for me.

Solid laptop, But …
Solid laptop. Fast and easy to set-up, configure, and use. Feels good in your hands.BUT.. BIG AS A HOUSE. Best for desktop replacement, but so so much as portable.

Chromebook
This Chromebook CX1 is to hard to run, couldn’t even make an account! Directions not so good. I bought this one for a friend! I have one like this Chromebook, I got it so long ago I don’t recall which one it is. But still works great! 👍 I’ve had mine since 2013

Not as tough as they claim
This laptop seemed to work fairly well, but it is in no way built “military” tough. My daughter was able to use it for a couple of months after receiving it for Christmas, but earlier this week her puppy (< 20 lbs) put one of its paws on the screen for literally just one second, and half the screen got covered in vertical lines and then stopped working entirely. For something claiming to be built "military grade standard MIL-STD 810H", it broke very very easily. If you decide to buy this, make sure to also buy a warranty! (Unfortunately, I didn't buy a warranty and now my daughter has a useless laptop that's just 2 months old.)

Arrived defective and poor technical support
Arrived defective. Had to call ASUS technical support and when I courteously described to the technician how this laptop was unresponsive, and didn’t even have a task bar, the technician hung up on me. It was returned and a refund was issued.
