Review after had the laptop about two weeks
I paid about $1,700 after tax for this Lenovo Legion 5i, and honestly, it’s beyond my expectations. The performance is smooth across everything I’ve tried — from everyday tasks to heavy gaming. The build feels solid, the cooling does a great job while keeping the fan noise really low and the display is sharp and immersive. At this price point, I feel like it’s absolutely worth it. The only area I’d suggest for improvement is RAM — the system is strong out of the box, but with more RAM it could unlock even more potential, especially for multitasking and future-proofing.Overall, I’m very satisfied and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, high-performance gaming laptop.

Very cheap for such good specs.
Im very satisfied with this product. Its cheap compared to other laptops with same specs. Good cpu, good gpu, wifi 7, Bluetooth 5.3 ssd is also good 6500mb/s, screen is brilliant, video editing is also nice. I have big pc and im selling it now cus i don’t need him after i got that legion. Its not heavy, microphone is very nice, ppl here me very good. Dynamic is not so good but ok. (Not my first laptop)

Great gaming pc, bring your own speakers
Great gaming pc, it’s made for this.Easy to upgrade, added an additional internal hard drive and adding ram. Made a desktop gaming setup, plug and play. Wi-Fi is good, heat isn’t a problem. Very fast loading times, games load fast fast. Looks sleek and light. Easy to take it and go. One drawback, the speakers are terrible, If you buy this, definitely buy some headphones or some external speakers or both.

    Happy with my purchase
I came from the world of Thinkpads to fall for this Legion. I had (still have) a Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Extreme 2nd with i7-9750H, 64GB of RAM, 3TB of storage, 4K OLED touch panel and the GTX 1650 max-Q. I purchased this laptop in 2019 when it was announced (very pricey, but it was one of the best). It was very good at the beginning, but his thinness was a major flaw because it was overheating like hell with time passing. Since my work requires a powerhouse laptop with both the CPU and GPU, my laptops couldn’t handle the workload anymore. I use a lot of virtualization labs and video rendering and it takes too much time to render one video session. So I looked for a replacement and found this Legion and I was quite impressed but a bit disappointed. Here are the pros and cons:Pros:- Very light: almost the same weight as my older Thinkpad- The OLED screen is amazing (The thinkpad was a bit better because of its 4K panel, but less bright than the Legion)- The CPU is sooo powefull and everything is snappy. The GPU is also very good for my needs (I’m not a hardcore gamer, just a casual one)- The laptop is quiet all the time, but the fans kick like a jet taking off when I run some heavy tasks (video rendering) lol. I don’t mind the noise for performance.- The lid can be opened with one hand, not like my old Thinkpad- The webcam quality is way better than my Thinkpad’s- You can switch between performance modes using Fn+Q shortcut- You can overclock the GPU and undervolt the CPU (haven’t tried it yet)- the HDMI and power port are located behind the laptop- Webcam switch to enable/disable itCons:- Only 16GB of RAM for this price, which make it pricier- No fingerprint scanner or Windows Hello compatible Webcam- Typing on the Legion’s keyboard is quite good, but not as delicious as the ThinkPad (1.5mm key travel vs 1.8mm for the Thinkpad)- in my opinion, the numpad keyboard wasn’t necessary since by adding it, they had to shift the keyboard to the left which needs you to get used to it.- The black color is a fingerprint magnet.- The battery life is average. Coming from my Thinkpad that had less than 2h of battery life, I can squeeze more than the Thinkpad if I enable the Quiet mode and reduce the screen’s brightness. But it’s more than enough for me since I’m plugged in almost all the time- No SD card reader and not enough portsRegarding the delivery, Amazon used the ” Lenovo Legion 5i Gaming laptop….” instead of “Lenovo Legion 5 15IRX10”, which is the accurate name of the product, and that created an issue with the customs. Please Amazon, next time use the real name of the product because there are many models and generations of the Legion 5.I received the laptop 2 weeks ago, so I’ll wait to see if there are any other issues.

Single channel RAM… Poor wifi range… Great performance
I received this laptop today and Amazon did a fantastic job getting me the laptop… The laptop itself is awful! I’ve been running into so many issues while trying to set this up. The Wi-Fi keeps messing up and disconnecting. Not an issue with my wifi as it’s 1gig a second… I can’t even install my games because it keeps erroring out. Hardlining didn’t solve because it just errors out after a few minutes. This was supposed to be my upgrade… I want to send this laptop backUPDATEi had to reset the laptop to factory settings , this solved my issues outside the wifi issue… Turns out the wifi issue is because the receiver in the laptop is weak.. I have to be no farther than 10 feet to get good download/upload speeds. Annoying but can be solved with a second router.Hardwarethis Lenovo Legion 5i has pretty great specs and can perform well but it has a major flaw… This laptop came with only 1 stick of 16gb RAM … Single channel !!! It greatly bottlenecks this system. If it weren’t for that issue this laptop would be great… For the price you pay, it should be dual channel mandatory

    Great investment
With just a 32gb ram upgrade and another ssd, it’s the perfect gaming laptop for me for a great price. It has a gorgeous OLED display and it maintains pretty good thermals. Would recommend

    Worth a buy
I’ve only had the RTX 5070 Legion 5 for 2 days, but so far, I’m really impressed. The performance is excellent right out of the gate — games feel super smooth and look stunning. The graphics quality is top-notch, and frame rates have been consistently high even with demanding titles.I did notice a few small issues with DLSS 4, mostly around visual glitches or odd moments in certain games, but nothing that ruins the experience. When it works, it seriously boosts visual fidelity and keeps things running fluidly.Even with just a short time of use, this machine feels like a great investment. Can’t wait to put it through more testing, but first impressions are very strong.
