AMD’s Strategic Move to Address Rising RAM Prices
AMD’s latest strategy could offer relief for PC builders grappling with skyrocketing component prices. Recently, bundles featuring the upcoming Ryzen 9850X3D CPU alongside DDR5 RAM have been spotted in China, hinting at a potential shift in how AMD markets its products. According to a report from Tom’s Hardware, a post on X by Uniko’s Hardware showcases a bundle that AMD is purportedly launching in China. This bundle includes the new Ryzen 9850X3D CPU, a Cooler Master cooler, and 32GB of V-Color memory—specifically, two 16GB sticks of DDR5 RAM.
A Closer Look at the Bundle
While pricing details remain elusive, the presence of official branding from AMD, V-Color, and Cooler Master suggests that this is a well-coordinated collaboration, not a retailer’s improvised assembly. Interestingly, the bundle replaces the typical motherboard inclusion with a cooler, likely aiming to keep costs down while still ensuring compatibility with high-end systems.
