Would Buy Again
I bought this in May of 2024 and it has been a great laptop! Very fast and no issues at all! I see others complaining about a few different issues, but my experience up to now has been A+. I haven’t had a single problem with it and I’ve actually been using it like you would use a tower with a desktop PC. I just attached a 26″ monitor to is and a keyboard and mouse and use it like that. It’s on all day, every day and is working great. I do back up my docs to an external hard drive, which everyone should do, no matter your set-up, but so far, so good with this machine, especially at this price point.

I bought this laptop because my old laptop is starting to”crap out” the only thing I don’t like about this laptop that I thought I had included in my search was that it is not a touch screen but I can live with that otherwise it is a great laptop it has Windows 11 and products related and I could not be more pleased with my purchase. It is lightweight speedy and sturdy as well! It charged very fast and stayed charged for at least 10 hours so I could not be more pleased! As far as the amount of storage I did go smaller than I always have but I do have an external hard drive in the off chance that I decide to save anything which I typically don’t intend to do other than a few pictures so I should be covered as far as storage goes! This laptop was the best value and had everything I wanted other than the touch screen you should purchase this laptop if you are in the market for something that is very reliable and sturdy and has a keypad for the numbers which was very important to me the keyboard is also backlit which is another important selling point to me this computer is so easy to use and easy to set up I’m glad I made this purchase it is hard to find a good laptop for under $600 and this most certainly is a good laptop!

CAUTION/WARNING buying Laptops from Amazon!!!
WARNING! DO NOT purchase this Laptop from this vendor, Call HP because it wouldn’t take my PiN # (which i had on laptop in front of me from my registration. Agent with HP looked up s/n # and it HAS been modified so, any of their Laptops that was modified they will not offer a warranty or the warranty is no longer valid. I order a HP 17.3, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD, WIFI, HDMI, Webcam, Windows 11 Home Silver and recvd a modified piece of mess, 932GB, 128 MB, 32.0 GB Had a hard time logging into Laptop so I can do a Factory reset. Why would companies do something so CRUEL? How do you vendors who do this, sleep at night? Or Not? HP Rep stated, they have gotten other calls about this same issue with Laptops, Check your box for any covered labels, call and give HP or whomever made yours and give them the s/n right away. Don’t wait not even a week for Help from Amazon. All these modification Laptops are ordered thru Amazon.

Not a slam dunk
Received the product on-time and undamaged. Good start. However, no real instructions included. On startup (which was an adventure since they moved the Start button to a demure key on the keyboard), the screen locked up, and you could do nothing except reboot, try again, get same thing. My son, who is far more experienced and schooled in PC’s than I am, eventually broke through and got the basic setup done. I am very disappointed to learn that evidently my new pc does NOT have backlighting for the keyboard. Since my old (8-10 yrs old) pc did have keyboard backlighting, I mistakenly ASSUMEd the new one would have such a basic feature. Evidently it does not. Since there is no clear documentation (at least not found by me) of it’s features, I have been left to Help screens and YouTube videos to learn about my new pc, neither of which speak very specifically. I did get the RAM I wanted, so we will probably settle in comfortably in due time. Oh, and it didn’t come with a mouse, which I thought rather strange. Problem solved by Amazon in less than 24 hrs. Too bad I can’t order keyboard backlighting the same way. Will have to live with that forever.

So Far So Good
It was time to replace my six-year-old HP 15″ laptop. After quite a bit of research, I decided I wanted the HP 17″ model with as much SSD capacity RAM as possible. This one more than filled the bill with 1TB SSD and 32 GB RAM. I was a little apprehensive about buying it online after reading several negative reviews about the seller (RightBuy Electronics). My experience was flawless. The PC was promptly shipped to my winter home on the Florida Gulf Coast via UPS Express Overnight Shipping. It arrived just as described and in excellent condition. Understandably, a receipt signature was required. The UPS driver was already preparing to leave a non-deliverable note on our door when my wife failed to answer the door within 15 seconds. Fortunately, she caught him before he could flee.The setup was pretty easy. There has been a little bit of a learning curve since this was my first experience with Windows 11. But after just a few days it’s working fine. It is much faster than my old laptop and the large non non-glare screen is great.
