Thoughts after a week of testing….
I’ve had Samsung notes and Google pixels, and iPhones. Personally the pixel is a phenomenal phone but the price is too high for any of those. I buy my phones outright and pay $350/year for mint mobile service so the phones I get need to be unlocked because I try to keep things frugal.I read an article which came with a coupon and I bought this Doogee firemax 5 out the door for like $380. I first set it up w wifi because I wasn’t sure if I’d like it so for about 4 days I used it for apps. I learned that it wouldn’t play Magic the Gathering Arena. So I bought an SD card to expand the memory and all my apps function just fine.So I finally decided to swap my sim card and proceed. Here are the pros and cons with this phone.Pros:-Very long battery life-Thermal camera is pretty cool, I can see heat seeping around my front door and I live in Arizona so I have some work to do to weatherize my home.-night vision is absolutely unreal and super fun to play with. It’s crystal clear in the dark!-programmable button on the side. I setup 1.click for Snapchat, 2 clicks for chat gpt and long hold to launch magic the gathering. I tested each feature and it works with zero issues.-navigation , when you navigate on your phone you can choose bottom buttons like a Samsung or directional swipes like an iPhone or Pixel. Having this dual feature is actually nice imo- cones w a screen protector already on it.-3 different lights. A super bright flashlight at the end, the camera flash you can use like a flashlight like every other smartphone and it has the Elf light which is a ring light on the back.-underwater camera which i haven’t tested yet but the regular camera and all the other camera features are pretty awesome.-theres a hard plastic loop at the bottom where you can slip a wrist tether to itCons:This thing is super heavy, like really heavy. However there’s some good and bad to that. Being heavy, selfies are pretty much non existent unless you use both hands or have strong arms and hands. My hands get tired of holding it which I’ve found myself not wanting to be on my phone as much which isn’t a bad thing. With the weight I imagine my hands, wrists, arms, shoulders will get stronger similar concept to wearing a weighted vest or ankle weights.- due to its size they don’t make cases for it but I don’t think it’s necessary.Overall this does more than what I need and I’m really impressed that all this comes at such a good price point. On Amazon it’s going for $420 right now but if you look up tech articles on this there are coupons out there to get it for even less.Even though I don’t like the weight and carrying this thing, I actually appreciate it. I’m hoping someone 3D prints a ring to hold this so selfies would be easier I enjoy taking selfies with my wife and family. I also don’t think anyone would bother trying to steal it since it’s so heavy and bulky.Below are photos of regular camera mode, night vision, thermal. Also a video of my wife and I trying the night vision in complete darkness, it’s so clear! I hope this review helps, if you don’t mind heavy and bulky and want something with a lot of unique features then I do recommend this. Best of luck!

Thick Boiii
Received May 8th, its now June 2nd and I have only charged it once. The battery life is great obviously. Love the night vision camera, the thermal cam is cool too not very accurate but useful nonetheless. It’s a very thick phone and pretty heavy as phones go. But having that huge battery 🔋 is definitely worth the size and weight.((used a goggle tv remote to show size))

Bulky, But It Delivers.
I know I should probably wait a little more time before writing this review, but I’ve had the phone two days and it delivers. It is a bulky phone, which a lot of people don’t seem to like but I don’t mind, the trade-off for the memory, tools it provides, great photos, and the shockproof waterproof is a must. I do a lot of construction work and have blown through phones whether it having charging issues because of the dust I’m exposed to on a daily basis, or something smacking my pocket and cracking the front and back glass of the phone. I will say I was super skeptical because I was reading some reviews that says it won’t connect in the US, or only through certain carriers. It showed up, powered it on it had 90% battery life, prompted me just like all my android/google phones. Inserted my SIM card and after I got through the setup process it called, text and use data perfectly. I use T-Mobile, it was also very hard to understand what carriers could take the phone. It was something about frequencies that each carrier picks up. Phone is very fast, only complaint to have, is the screen protector provided on the phone seems cheap. My back pocket button rubbed a little spot on the screen protector. Oh, and this phone also can be used with work gloves. Thermal works phenomenally

DONT BUY THICK HEAVY BATTERY MAKES IT TO HEAVY TO CARRY
WOW what a joke, well if you like your cell phone to be strapped to a car battery then buy it, other it’s impossible to carry in pocket, on belt or in a purse, the most ridiculous thick and heavy phone you will ever see, I get it because I had the same phone that the screen went blank, actually the last 2 phones screen went out, so I guess the 10 thousand battery is ok , I carried one for years , it’s heavy but the built in thermal camera is great, now on this phone is see it’s NOT a flir thermal camera, I did also see this phone was not very clear detail when using thermal, also the screen seemed a little 2d and flat and boring. So avoid this phone you won’t like the weight, try one of the phones with the 10 thousand battery and not the 20 thousand. So basically I was not impressed with the screen or the thermal or the weight

Customer service is pretty much non existent
Steer clear of this company. Phone constantly turns off on its own and now the flashlight is stuck on. My camera app just disappeared one day so now I can’t even take pictures with it. Good luck getting any kind of customer service too I’ve been emailing them for almost a week with no progress.

Screen broke super easy. Didn’t even drop it. Pulled out of pocket and all messed up. If you have no need for thermal I wouldn’t even bother with this.

No headphone jack
I screwed up and didn’t find out this phone doesn’t have a headphone jack until it arrived. I’d never buy a phone without a headphone jack on purpose and getting this sorted will be a major inconvenience.

Es un dispositivo que nada más cogerlo por primera vez te deja con una sonrisa de oreja a oreja porque tienes la certeza de que difícilmente te vas a quedar sin batería en lo que te queda de semana. Como contrapunto te vas a encontrar con un tamaño y peso que se sale de lo normal en un móvil convencional (medio kilogramo). La batería de 20.800 mah es la razón de este disfrute extra. Una batería que te permite olvidarte por mucho tiempo de recargar el dispositivo. Tanto es así que puedes utilizar el propio móvil como powerbank con otros dispositivos (realmente brutal).En el día a día se mueve con mucha soltura a nivel de fluidez tanto en procesado y carga de aplicaciones como en refresco de pantalla. Tiene un brillo muy bueno que no se arruga frente a iluminación solar directa en ningún momento. Los juegos igualmente los mueve sin problemas de calentamiento ni lagazos de pantalla (juegos tipo Clash Royale, Clash of Clans o Real Racing 3 por poner varios ejemplos).La cámara cumple de sobra con las necesidades de cualquier usuario medio con el extra de la imagen nocturna y el modo de imágenes térmicas que te convierte en el “Predator” con el móvil más chulo del barrio.En lo que llevamos con el dispositivo hemos recibido varias actualizaciones vía OTA que mantienen el terminal actualizado y protegido ante amenazas presentes y futuras. Esperemos que el gigante doogee siga con esa política de actualizaciones por muchos años.Dispone de lector de huellas en el lateral del móvil (acierto) y cuenta con 5g allí donde se dispone de esa cobertura. El WiFi 6 reconoce sin problemas las frecuencias de 2,4 y 5 GHz alcanzando velocidades de escándalo. No dispone de conexión mini Jack pero sí tiene brújula, giroscopio, acelerómetro y sensor de proximidad para evitar que cuelgues una llamada con la oreja sin querer.En definitiva, un teléfono muy top con unas características espectaculares, una batería infinita y una resistencia a golpes que te permite vivir algo más tranquilo si accidentalmente recibe un golpe o sufre una caída.Artículo Muy recomendable.

Es muy compacto y es compatible con la carga rápida de Samsung y de Iphone. Estoy muy contento con el ya me evitó tener dos cargadores en la mesilla.Desde que lo he comprado, lo hemos usado todos los días y muy bien.La única pega es que tiene una luz que es un poco desagradable por la noche, nosotros lo tenemos con un alargador en el suelo y solucionado.Muy recomendable.

I ordered this Android smartphone as I don’t like using works phone for personnel calls.Arrived in an impressive branded and sealed box, couldn’t wait to open up.Blown away by this phone, has all the technology of my current latest work phone at less than 1/3 the price of a handset.Battery life if unbelievable, I currently charge my work phone daily as I see battery life dwindle down. This phone is a beast, full charge lasts me over a week charge of regular use. You won’t believe me until you try it.Quality camera for both movies and stills, excellent robust and clear resolution screen quality. Waterproof and robust handset well protected even without a case, excellent speaker for both calls and media. Phone even has basic rear LED display that my work phone does not.10 out of 10 for value for money, DOOGEE is a China manufactured brand which is now available to UK market.Overall, this phone is everything and more you will ever want from a phone.
