    Convenient
This 4-port USB hub is a great addition to my desk setup. The individual power switches with LED indicators make it easy to control each device without unplugging anything. It’s compact, easy to use, and works well with my keyboard, mouse, and flash drives. Great for organizing multiple USB devices and keeping everything powered and connected. Solid performance at a great price!

    Worked perfect for three years
It worked perfect for three years. Three years later it still works great but one of the indicator LEDs went out. So the hub and port switches work fine but one LED won’t turn on. The port still turns on so it is a minor inconvenience.

    Great item, everyday usage
Ever since I purchase this, I have been using it daily so I can connect to a second monitor, laptop fan, mouse and keyboard (wired). Now I do wish I can use a bigger one. Quality, usb connection and functionality is great. Size is small which good for certain tight spaces.

A competent USB hub with indiviual power switches for its ports – ideal for connecting simple devices.
With my ever growing group of devices, I once again found myself in need of a new USB hub. My needs were simple, I had no intention of connecting a hard drive or anything that would draw a significant amount of power, all I wanted to do was connect multiple input devices like keyboards, trackpads and gamepads. I came across this Sabrent model with individual on/off switches for each port and liked that idea. This hub is inexpensive and has performed the function for which I needed it very well. As is often the case, you do get what you pay for so this hub doesn’t feel very solidly constructed and the lights above the ports kind of bleed over into adjacent ones and I ran into one minor issue with it where for a time it failed to recognize the trackpad on a keyboard/trackpad combination device. It has worked flawlessly aside from that one hiccup. One thing to bear in mind if you plan to use this to connect external storage is that it is a USB 2.0 hub, so you will not get the best transfer speeds out of USB 3.0 devices. Also, as this hub is not powered, you may need to run into some issues depending on the computer or whatever device to which this hub is connected. I use it primarily on an NVIDIA Shield Android TV and have not run into that issue. I have also briefly tested it on a couple of computers. If you have a need to connect simple devices without a significant power draw and would like the ability to enable or disable them at the touch of a button, this unit will fit the bill nicely and is easy on the wallet. If you need a hub for storage devices or other devices that may need to draw more power from the host unit, you’ll probably want to look into a powered hub instead.

    FABULOUS BARGAIN
First day using this and works fabulous. I will update this review if I notice anything in the future. Price is unbelievably low vs. quality for value. I had another component from Sabrent a few years ago and was very impressed with the quality for the very low price and this motivated me to buy their components again this time. This hub component is listed on the official Sabrent site at $13. plus shipping. Product arrived in a retail presentation package and the carton was secured with seals suggesting that it was probably not a used return. The only other feature to speak about are the on/off buttons. The 4 buttons can be used as 1 or all 4 or any combination of on/off 1 thru 4 and that is convenient. Only thing I can point out that does not show up easily in advertisement is that the hub is about the size of a large pack of 10 stick chewing gum and is lighter in weight than expected so, the lightness of the hub weight will not necessarily allow it to stay lying flat on desk or table without cords flipping it over while using. However, the plugs stay in securely and it will remain connected. One must be alert and observe that moving one of the wires does not cause this hub to turn over and, then, may press against one of the 4 buttons and turn off whatever one is charging. I combined this hub with the ” Sabrent 22AWG USB 2.0 extension cord 6 feet (CB-2060) “. This is available from same Amazon seller as hub. Extension cord allows hub to be behind computer and moves the clutter and chaos of wires out of the way. NOTE: Both of these items are available in an identical ” USB 3.0 ” from Sabrent.

A USB-C hub is pretty much essential if you plan to use desktop mode on the Steam Deck and aren’t planning on buying a dock. You don’t strictly have to get a hub, since everything from controlling the device to transferring files can be done with free software solutions, but this thing makes life a lot easier, and it’s not very expensive.Since it can also do everything a dock would do for the Deck (except stand it up and make it look nice), you could get this instead to save the most money. But if you might want the dock, you don’t need to get this as well.Bang for the buck purchase. Recommended for use with the Steam Deck or any general purpose USB-C hub stuff.

I can use this with my Huawei mobile to output to a screen in desktop mode and also as a portable dock for my Nintendo Switch to large screen and power in to the Switch. Its well made and compact and I’m sure it will also prove useful in other ways as it also includes memory card slots along with USB 2 and 3 slots.

You can hardly find any other extender with switches at this price. Been owning since 4 years now and they are working good fine. Plus value for money

I’ve been using it on my gaming laptop because I needed more ports for other things like a drawing tablet and a microphone. So far, It works perfectly. The Build Quality:Even though it’s made of plastic, it feels very premium and is very light. It’s very tough and the wire can is very durable. It is possible to accidentally cut this thing in a sharp environment (exposed sharp edges or some random things that shouldn’t be where they are), but It’s gonna last quite a while against fatigue.Buttons and LED:The Buttons feel nice and press down smoothly with a kind of “taptic” feel to it; you can feel some sort of friction as you press it down, but I don’t know whether it’s actually friction or if it’s a cool feature. The buttons go down smoothly and give no noticeable audio response. The LED’s are a really nice indicator for when you toggle on or off your device. The only issue I have is when you stare directly at them at a straight angle towards the buttons, It’s insanely blinding, But overall still really nice.I haven’t tested using a USB with it nor did I try to charge with it to debunk it, but nonetheless it’s a really good solution for for when you need a lot more USB inputs, and it only costs $10 CAD!Additional Notes for Rate Features:Quality of material:like I said, This thing feels premium. I doubt it’s gonna break or fatigue on me for a while.Thickness:This device is actually decently thin, but could be thinner. It’s thickness is about 3 and a half USB connector’s Width (the shorter length of the actual silver part of the USB). The device could also be slightly thinner in the width of the device, but it’s perfectly fine for anyone who want’s to stick it onto the side of something like a table or the side of the device.Sheerness:I’m really not sure what they mean for “sheerness”, So I’ll write 2 separate reviews about it.Sheer as in sharp/steep:This device isn’t sharp at all. It’s corners are all curved. The sharpest edges are the perimeter of the largest surface area, and it’s still quite smooth.Sheer as in absolute/nothing other than:Not sure how to explain the “sheerness” of this device in this term. All I know is that this is an absolute buy. If you need more USB connectors, for $10 CAD this thing really is something else. It does its job and it does it well. No disconnects or fails using devices. If anyone is worried about USB Storage Device transfer speeds, you should have a UDB 3.0 on your laptop or if you’re using a Desktop, You should have more than enough ports.
